Warmer Drier Temperatures Today on Still Stagnant Boise Fire in Northeastern Humboldt County
On the west side of the fire, firefighters continue to mop up, patrol, and chip vegetation along the roadways. Some damaged roads have been repaired to allow crews to access the fire’s edge. Two new spike camps have been created along the east side of the fire to decrease the travel time for crews. Additionally, new heli-spots have been created to facilitate the movement of equipment and personnel. Multiple crews are being inserted into the China Creek area to create handline along the fire’s edge.
