Covelo could use a good shaking up.
Sorry to see covelo just can’t get a break. Hope they’re o.k. over there.
The 6:15 quake delivered a big ol’ jolt. At first I thought something huge had fallen onto the roof but now I believe it was just (just!) the entire building being rocked – it was an incredibly loud, roaring, crackling BOOM, immediately followed by the classic rocking underfoot. Only then did I understand it was a quake and not a giant oak coming down. A few books fell, that was all. All over in a few seconds. I did not feel the first quake at all, though many did.
Shaken, not stirred. And very grateful that it wasn’t worse.
