Highway 36 Fully Closed After Rollover Crash Near Bridgeville

Traffic CollisionHighway 36 is fully closed near Mile Marker 22.8 west of Bridgeville following a rollover crash just before 10 tonight, according to the Incident Commander speaking over the scanner. According to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident log, initial reports indicated a vehicle had overturned onto its side with at least one person inside. Scanner traffic indicated the occupant was initially reported to be stuck in the vehicle while a bystander attempted to help.

By about 10:11 p.m., the incident commander reported over emergency radio traffic that both lanes of Highway 36 were blocked. Responders advised the occupant was still inside the vehicle but not trapped, although the extent of any injuries remained unknown. The person declined medical about 10:20 p.m.

If possible, drivers should avoid the area and expect delays while first responders work to assist the occupant and clear the scene.
