Solo Vehicle Rollover Blocks One Lane of Highway 299 East of Berry Summit

Police lights can stock photoA solo vehicle rollover temporarily blocked the eastbound lane of Highway 299 east of Berry Summit this Friday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page, the crash was reported at approximately 6:09 p.m. near the 35600 block of State Route 299 in the area of Ruby Creek. The vehicle, described in the log as a small SUV, came to rest on its roof and was blocking the eastbound lane.

All parties were reported out of the vehicle when emergency responders arrived, but an ambulance has been requested to respond.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and Buddy’s Towing was requested to remove the overturned SUV. Tow operators were advised the vehicle was on its roof with all four tires intact.

Motorists traveling through the area are experiencing some minor delays while emergency crews deal with the incident.
