Willits Police Remind Parents: Know the Curfew Rules This Summer
The summer vacation is upon us and we would like to re-issue this previous notice for all parents of minors for curfew laws from the Willits Municipal Code. Willits PD has received an increase in complaints for juvenile offenses related to minors out after curfew.
As a reminder the City of Willits Municipal Code Chapter 9.84 provides the following curfew for unaccompanied minors:
The curfew for minors between 16-18 years old is between 11PM and 5AM.
The curfew for minors under age 16 is between 10PM and 5AM.
Parents, guardians, or other adults having the lawful custody of minors may be held responsible for allowing these curfew violations to occur.
This reminder is intended to educate the community. The Willits Police Department hopes this reminder will assist adults who are supervising minors to abate occurrences which are negatively impacting our community’s quality of life.

I thought you were considered an adult at 18….
“for minors between 16-18″
Once someone is 18, they are no longer between those ages.
