Wrong caption, should be Burying the Truth.
Two women digging up the grave would fit the Digging For the Truth.

Yes.
Thank you.
I was trying to figure out what was off about this.
I didn’t remember the caption until you pointed it out.

I thought the picture was him burying the dogs.

What a sad mess.

Kym, I hope you continue to cover this.

The problem is that the cartoonist drew a hole in the ground. The headline tried to turn it into a search party. Those are not the same story. The cartoon’s emotional message is that “something significant was buried here.” Pairing it with “Digging for the Truth” with Miranda’s Rescue at the graveside, definitely creates an odd mismatch.

But all that aside, I’d like to analyse the artist’s decision to create a characature of Miranda’s Rescue as a bloated, slumped, heavy, burdened, passive, downcast and frumpy old guy.

The effect is not one of a vigorous or athletic and attractive man confronting a challenge. Instead, the figure appears deflated, weighed down, and emotionally burdened.

What’s striking is that these choices run counter to Miranda’s public image. As someone known for bodybuilding and fitness competitions, he typically presents himself as disciplined, physically fit, upbeat and image-conscious. The cartoon has intentionally abandoned those traits for a reason.

In political cartoon language, that kind of unappealing physical exaggeration can symbolize carrying a burden, being weighed down by events, excess, guilt, stress, or loss of control.

Artistically, I see Miranda’s Rescue the man, as a symbol of someone forced to face the weight of public scrutiny, his opulent excesses and lies, and the consequences those choices.

I took it to represent those of us who believed in him finding out the truth. Actually a pretty gut wrenching image.

Just checked Chiv’s blog. This is getting interesting.

Is it?

Half the article reads like an UNVERIFIED search warrant tip collided with a GoFundMe pitch (minus the actual GoFundMe button) and the customary Chiv airing of Chiv’s ever-expanding list of grievances.

The warrant claim is interesting.

The rest ? It’s the same old soundtrack:

everyone is unfair,

local media are cowards,

critics are jealous,

anonymous sources are selfish,

nobody appreciates his sacrifices,

and John Chiv remains “first.”

…all while portraying himself as the lone truth warrior battling the forces of darkness while frantically uploading dodgy screenshots from the 2ndfloor of Humbodt County courthouse. 😆
Yawn. We’ve heard this remix before. In fact, we hear it in practically every article!

“I have no free time. I don’t make money to cover my most basic expenses in Humboldt…”

That is not reporting. It is also not particularly interesting.

Just saying… maybe you find the extended discussion of Chiv’s finances, enemies list, personal vendettas, and grammatically chaotic detours fascinating. I don’t. They are about as relevant to the warrant claim as a recipe for banana bread. 🍌 🍞 😆 aaannd now I want banana bread.

John. (Ahem…Enzo). Stop it.

Now, can you see how pointless that sort of reply is?

Wait. You intentionally directing traffic to Chiv’s site, and your similar use of the word “rabid” last week does give me John Chiv vibes… I think you just called yourself out! LOL

Jenna. I toss pizza pies for a living. Just because you post under numerous anonymous names does not mean everyone else does.

Your point? Doesn’t seem like you have one.

Hating the messenger is really super lame in this situation. But you do you ok, and she ain’t me.

But, I do support Jenna and Jennifer’s passion and resolve to expose Miranda’s assholery.

Why do you defend Miranda’s assholery?

Testy.[edit] Complimenting yourself anonymously is concerning. There are a lot of us that aren’t buying into your soap opera. I’ve only seen you post on anything Miranda. I have been posting for years here. I get the distinct impression that your allegations are not panning out legally so you have taken to be a keyboard warrior stirring the pot up. Please reconsider.

“more than one person has similar positions to John” kymkemp.

Just as (way) more than one person have similar positions to Jenna. So you can give it a rest.

To suggest that I only bother to comment on Miranda’s adjacent posts is to overlook my extensive catalog of unsolicited expertise. 🤓 I am frankly wounded that my illustrious intuitions, investigative noodling, political rambling, and all-purpose comment-section buffoonery have been reduced to a single chapter. 😭

Funny how kym allows John Chiv to post here under multiple aliases- enzo, kris, etc. thought that was against the rules
