City of Ukiah logoPress release from the City of Ukiah:

On September 19, 2025, new FEMA flood maps for the City of Ukiah and Mendocino County will take effect. These maps significantly expand designated flood risk areas. The City of Ukiah appealed the preliminary maps; however, FEMA made only minor revisions in response, and the maps are now finalized.

The City of Ukiah encourages all residents to:

Review FEMA’s updated flood maps, and
Check their insurance coverage
“With winter weather approaching, now is the time to make sure you and your property are prepared,” City staff emphasized.
