Reading between the lines that it happed at 4:00am, the people that lived there were released aka not arrested etc I am GUESSING he broke into their house in the middle of the night and was shot. Again just an educated guess. He may not have seems like a bad person that does not mean he was not capable of bad things. Most serial killers people described them as charming and likeable.

Sounds like you are assuming way too much. If he came uninvited perhaps he was looking for refuge or help and they shot first asked questions later. He did not have a malicious bone in his body.

The homicide story is already not quite adding up…

________

Soooo…

Was the deceased from Lewiston…???

Or…

Was the deceased from Shasta County…???

It can’t be both…

Because Lewiston is in Trinity County, not in Shasta County…

________

Would you believe…???

Error free what…???

Start your own free proofreading service…

Then take unsolicited advice…

Saying the deceased was from Lewiston misleads the reader into believing the deceased was possibly a resident of the residence he was found deceased in…

Which, however, is definitely not the case…

Just to be clear…

Pay this commenter no mind.
They get all worked up over the most trivial things– even imagined ones.
It’s actually quite entertaining. (https://kymkemp.com/2026/06/22/welfare-check-leads-to-drug-gun-and-stolen-check-charges-in-garberville/)
It just doesn’t feel appropriate to use a story of this nature for entertainment purposes.

Very true. This is a death, and not some story about the park service.

Ahem, we’ve been reminded that the preferred term is ‘news site,’ not ‘blog,’ ma’am.

No a news site dosnt give a political opinion. It is more accurate a blog.

If editorials turned a news outlet into a blog, newspapers have apparently been blogging since long before the light bulb.

The opinions of our reporters live in our opinion pieces and in our comment section. However, our news articles are fact-based, and when we make a mistake, we correct it. That’s pretty much how news organizations have operated for a very long time. But hell, call RHBB a blog if you like. The label matters a lot less to me than whether we get our facts right.

Punctuation is everything. She, RHBB, needs to put a comma behind “Lewiston” because that’s where it happened, to a SC man. 😉
