[UPDATE 8:25 a.m.] Air Ambulance Requested After Elderly Woman Suffers Possible Traumatic Hip Injury at Cuneo Creek Campground

Emergency responders requested an air ambulance Code 3 about 8 a.m. after an elderly woman suffered a possible traumatic hip injury following a ground-level fall at Cuneo Creek Campground within Humboldt Redwoods State Park west of Highway 101 north of Weott off the Mattole Road.

According to scanner traffic, the woman reportedly fell from standing height and was believed to have sustained a serious hip injury. Due to the nature of the injury, an air ambulance was requested to respond emergently.

UPDATE 8:25 a.m.: The air ambulance and all air resources have been cancelled.

Why did the cancel the request for an air ambulance for the injured lady? I guess her hip injury was not as bad as they thought. Hope she makes a full recovery.
