[Update] Wildland Fire Reported Near Honeydew This Afternoon

A vegetation fire was reported Monday afternoon approximately half a mile northwest of Lindley Road near Honeydew, prompting a full wildland fire response, according to scanner traffic.
The fire, referred to in radio traffic as the Lindley Fire, was confirmed by air attack unit AA651 at approximately one-eighth of an acre, burning in timber and grass with a slow rate of spread.
The air response also included tanker 100 and the Sikorsky S-70i Firehawk 604.
This information is based on scanner and radio traffic and air attack confirmation. This story will be updated as details become available.
Update 4:15 p.m.: Per incident command, Cal Fire engine 1266 is on scene, reporting 1/8th acre fire burning in heavy timber with a slow rate of spread.
Update 4:20 p.m.: The incident commander is contacting air attack overhead to release the Cal Fire tanker — a sign that ground crews believe they can manage the fire without the air of a tanker dropping retardant.
