Evacuations information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department:

ALL RESIDENTS FROM GYPO LN TO BUTTERFLY CREEK LN EVACUTE NOW DUE TO A FIRE IN THE AREA OF FRIDAY RIDGE RD. LAW ENFORCEMENT AND FOREST SERVICES ARE ON SCENE NOW. PLEASE DO NOT CALL 911 UNLESS OF AN EMERGENCY OR IMMINENT DANGER TO LIFE. EVACUATION CENTER LOCATED AT THE WILLOW CREEK BIBLE CHURCH LOCATED AT 39 [Brannan] MT RD

UPDATE 10 p.m.: Below is the footprint of the Knob Fire (as this is being called) from earlier today. The evacuations stretch vrom Gyppo Lane to the southeast of the footprint to Butterfly Creek Road to the northeast of the fire.

This is not the latest footprint of the fire but this is an earlier version. The evac zone is from Gyppo Lane to Butterfly Creek Road.
