Semi Driver Dies in Logging Truck Crash in Mendocino County

On Wednesday, June 24, at approximately 1:50pm the California Highway Patrol Ukiah Area office is investigating a solo fatal traffic collision that occurred on State Route 128 involving a Kenworth logging truck colliding with a redwood tree. One occupant from Anderson Valley, California, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the collision is under investigation, and no additional information is available for release at this time.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the California Highway Patrol Ukiah Area office.
