At the Courthouse Friday, a Group Protested Against Stay-at-Home Orders

All video and photo by Mark McKenna.

Concerns about government overreach led protesters to gather at the Courthouse Friday at noon. Signs reflected a variety of issues.

Protesters have been at the same location at the same time for three weeks in a row.

The justice for Lawson person on the steps was in agreement with this whole virus panic is nothing but a big act. I was there the whole time and everyone was peaceful. Never once did anyone there tell them to shut up. They had the right to be there just like everyone. It’s called freedom of speech. Look it up under the Bill of Rights in the 1st amendment sometime. We know who killed that kid. Do you? The FBI and APD who investigated the case are bumbling fools, like yourself.

Evidently since you are an expert on your Constitutional rights you must be aware that the right for the government/CDC to implement isolation and quarantine protocols is also in the constitution. Oops I guess not.

Um, that’s not the US Constitution, that’s statute law which does not carry the same power as the Constitution. Statutes can and are changed all the time. The Constitution is a permanent document that can only be changed through a lengthy amendment process that must be ratified by 2/3 of the states.

What is known as the “Commerce Clause” of the US Constitution is in Article1,
Section 8.

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes;

That is literally all it says. Nothing about the CDC, pandemics, public health, nothing even remotely close.

Yes, because asking someone to stay indoors and NOT get a disease is the same as forcing a woman to carry a baby for nine months and then push it out of her body and then raise it. Really stellar logic, I bet you felt very clever writing this comment.

I’m pro-life but I do agree it’s MY BODY, MY CHOICE! If that gives people tbe right to take an unborn life, then for us who don’t feel we need vaccinated shouldn’t be forced on us. No other vaccine is forced on us, not even the flu. Look at how many die from the flu in the (Un) United States every year.

Good for these protesters! Instead of protesting, just go open up. If someone tries to stop you, or arrest you, have your support network ready, and if they come, get the word out, and have people surround your business to stop them. We are the govt., not the freaks like John Ford, who hurts people everyday. I think your sheriff has done a good job, but now we need to treat the business openings like a heroin arrest, and just let them go. The Chinese spread this virus to cripple the US economy, so we would have to rely on them and submit to their authority. Fuck China, they have hurt the world, they must be punished. The best way to punish them is to have the young people of our area to start making stuff here. Clothing, appliances, electronics, furniture, and so much more. The less we buy from China, the less power they have. They have threatened college administrators who allow the students to question China’s motives here. Fuck them, they have no say here. Made in the USA is the only way.

How dare those soulless girls stand there smirking holding such a deeply racist, degrading sign depicting a “muzzled “ victim of white oppression and inhumane societal mistreatment! They have no shame nor intelligence. They need to research the atrocities committed against slaves before they have the audacity to compare a PPE to a tool of torture and degradation (muzzle)! We need to address white privilege when images like this are used for any purpose. It was a poor analogy: cloth or paper masks ARE NOT like the metal punishment used on a slave who had no control over her life or the wearing of the contraption. Please protest if you like, but be aware of how offensive you images are.

No, it’s not a fact that the people holding that sign were racist. Taken at a most literal level the sign does not convey racist intent, although in the context of being held by white women it is definitely tacky and insensitive. If it were held by a black person it could be seen as playing the race card, the exact opposite of what these women are accused of. So the sign is kind of like a Rorschach ink blot test with the meaning provided by whoever is viewing it, with context being key.

“Taken at a most literal level the sign does not convey racist intent, “ Thirdeye…BLIND! [edit] Inkblot tests serve to diagnose psychotic from non-psychotic thinking. “Muzzles are for slaves” is a clear “loss of touch with reality” when using this torture device as an analogy to a “protective mask!” This protest took place In a modern society where the intent is personal protection for the citizens of the county from a deadly virus! Sadly, Thirdeye BLIND your [edit] “whitesplaining” and attempt at diminishing the real depravity of the message and image proudly displayed by those racist women declares your membership in the ilk of the “they didn’t murder someone” [edit] ! Clearly, “inbred” was a hair trigger for your ranting and placating of this despicable behavior/signage. Too close to your true self? Use your real name “protestor”…Kym prefers that.

RJ: You of all people are in no position to admonish someone to use their own name.

The message of the sign without its racial undertone is despicable, i.e. that the slight inconvenience of wearing a mask in the interest of community safety is an unacceptable infringement upon freedom. That’s what we need to focus on.

That you would use a stupid term like “whitesplaining” to dismiss an argument says all we need to know about you. You are incapable of making an argument based on merit, so you resort to slurs and innuendo. Same with your reference to those who disagree with you as “racist inbreds.” Again, you show signs of being someone mainly concerned with masturbating their ego with a sense of moral superiority and thus has nothing worthwhile to contribute to the discussion.

Your use of the term “racist inbreds” referring to people you know nothing about only shows your own prejudices and propensity for stereotyping. What makes you think they’re inbred other than your disapproval of their hypothetical racial beliefs? I suspect that your hair-trigger outrage and propensity for sweeping moral judgements is based more on a need to feel morally superior to others than on a real desire for positive change.

Why can’t you just say that the sign is blatently racist? Do you realize how hurtful this image was for many? Imagine being a black child and seeing that image with no context. Imagine tourists seeing those images and feeling like Humboldt County is unsafe. Not only because of the sign but also because of the news source not calling out the racism.

As far as I know there aren’t groups of people who support murderers and rapists like there is for racist groups. Plus, posting those photos exposes these criminals which everyone would support since they committed a crime. Was your purpose to expose these women holding the racist signs?

I do understand that journalists would like to be able to report on stories in a neutral way, however, I feel that they have a responsibility to call out hateful images that could be hurtful to their community. There is tons of press about this story now, why not write an article about it showing that racist language like that will not be tolerated.

Give it a shot, but the Economy never shut down. An Economy reacts to reality. Open Businesses with no customers, no recovery. Get a big surge in cases, shit goes south big time. Staying home sucks, but dying really costs. When do we find out who pays for a family member who gets on a ventilator for three weeks before dying? How much does Alder Bay remove from one of their guests savings before they die? That’s a death tax on their guests families, it just goes to private investors. The last Great Depression didn’t start with an epidemic, this one was just waiting; a hair trigger away.

Fan of Guest- Are you aware that the legal immigration process doesnt actually exist in the states? Let me educate you seeing as you clearly havnt a clue and I have gone through it.

My husband migrated here lawfully, we fell in love (sorry???) and he has been married to me, a citizen for years. He has a child who is also a citizen. Not only did we spend thousands on the “legal ” immigration process with expert legal teams doing everything we were supposed to do and years of effort (frankly for the purpose of leaving this awful county). We still have no green card to show for it. Today, even though we did everything but our interview with immigration for the green card, he can he get deported anytime. Again the immigration dept is not doing appointments for folks to get legal /green cards but they are deporting people and torturing families and children under the guise that they have done something wrong. How do you explain that?

Also explain to me-if you were in the same situation would you move to another county away from your baby and wife for years just to wait for the system to catch up? NO, no one would ever do that. The system itself creates “illegal immigration.” Some people actually care about their families (and others), try to sympathize with them.

Also ironic- my husbands brother is a dentist, my entire family wants to see him because there are no dentists here especially that are affordable. Instead we are stuck in merica’ with cavities, just waiting on immigration to let us finally leave. You complain about migrants having healthcare right? But we just want to leave to receive healthcare and we are stuck here-its a human right. Go to Europe , get in an accident and tell me otherwise. If you want migrants and their families to leave, take it up with your impossible immigration system!

Also my entire family of 3 got $0 for a stimulus, 2 citizens. I am constantly penalized for falling in love with someone from another county. Meanwhile my husband risks his life, mine and our child’s to serve on the front lines during the pandemic for your benefit. More irony-my husband is a highly educated teacher who knows several languages and has immense education experience, while the school in my neighborhood needs teachers. Your shooting yourself in your own foot, how do you not see this?

Its people like you who have opinions based on no facts whatsoever, fear and xenophobia that enable the perpetuation of this impossible inhumane “legal immigration system,” and all the trauma it inflicts on everyone, just so you can criminalize people who are born somewhere else and those who love them. Prove that you are human, go ahead. Im not convinced.

I was taught at an early age that you can pray anywhere. You don’t need to go and congregate with a large group of people and breathe on each other to pray. Think of someone besides yourself.

But isn’t the church where I go to donate money to my God? I agree LB. religion should be self spirituality…. once you find that, which I still haven’t, you are truly free.

I wonder, What’s wrong with outside social distanced church? And i do mean this as a brood question. Why isnt that an option?
Its possible that if people
Would outside social distance it would be an option.
Might be cold, may not feel like the house of god. Crises is never easy and without sacrifices.
And i understand that there is a danger in being forced to do anything. And its easier to force the willing.
There is a lot to wade through there.
But if one rallies for the right to hold services, why not just demonstrate how to be compassionate for the community and have a safe church service? NOT a disease vector, but a conscious safe service. Thats shows the compassion of christ and demonstrates the human power of mitigating damages by not breathing on people.
Devastating disease is only likely to become more frequent, and actually protecting ourselves by instilling good habits is the only way to take the weight of anyones claim
To do it for us.
Decrease the emergency, decrease the emergency response.

As someone who doesn’t care for church and knows that Man made God, not vice versa, I think your comment is well worth the text.

I agree with you, things can be improvised to safe measures.

I especially liked these words from you:

I’ve been busy, that being said I’ve read your arguments and I I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt you’ve never won an arguement . You just keep on talking louder and louder til everyone else gives up. And you know what they say about the loudest person in the room? To state unequivocally that you know there is no god, and it doesn’t matter if you are correct or not, is sheer arrogance. And any adult in any adult conversation would or should know better. All it proves is that you don’t carry these conversations in real life and if you do it’s with a incredibly narrow nondiverse group of people. That being said I don’t care to carry on a conversation with someone who is incapable of seeing any side but his own. I literally have a thousand things better to do, and I’m going to go do one of them now.

Mike. What is the significance of Stanley Milgram , and his ground breaking work that showed people will listen to authority even at the level in which pain and suffering is inflicted into peaceful people.

This is an eye opening reality of what we are experiencing today.

A group of people following orders that have very little to do with a remedy that will not cause more pain and suffering.

If you look at any of these comments, could you ascertain which ones would follow orders to the detriment of their fellow humans?

The ones who ridicule the independent minded people, and all the snitches, those who have an over developed sense of command and control.

This is our world now, and we must understand the importance of the Milgram experiments, to know why we are dealing with those who

Because TIME didn’t call Hitler a socialist and I DID answer Ullr, and he did not answer me.

The landgrabs in Germany described in TIME was stealing from Jews.

Hitler stole land from and killed Jews.

You call that socialism?

You’re on your own.

Capital expanded under Hitler.

More:

“The “socialist” part of National Socialism might be scoffed at by hard-&-fast Marxists, but the Nazi movement nevertheless had a mass basis. The 1,500 miles of magnificent highways built, schemes for cheap cars and simple workers’ benefits, grandiose plans for rebuilding German cities made Germans burst with pride. Germans might eat many substitute foods or wear ersatz clothes but they did eat. What Adolf Hitler & Co. did to the German people in that time left civilized men and women aghast. Civil rights and liberties have disappeared. Opposition to the Nazi regime has become tantamount to suicide or worse. Free speech and free assembly are anachronisms. The reputations of the once-vaunted German centres of learning have vanished. Education has been reduced to a National Socialist catechism.”

The word Nazi was German short form for national socialist party. Hitler was big on socialism. Look it up. Also all this Nazi, Hitler, racism,etc.. stuff that has been going around is nothing more than paranoia from a moral panic based on a false consensus reality. Its a big act based on nothing. Jussie Smollet pretty much ended it with his silly little stunt.

If a guy in a blue suit says, “my suit is red”, that is the equivalent of Hitler and the “socialist” part of NAZI.

Why do conservatives skip right over the first part of the acronym;
National?

Don’t forget, the Jews were left wing socialists and communists. Not really Hitlers friends, if you know what I mean.

Capitalism and privatization expanded under Hitler.

Don’t get fooled by his rhetoric.

It’s obvious with today’s American NAZIS, they are anti socialist nationalists.

LOL

“A Veteran” is either incredibly ignorant or incredibly naive to think that the “nazis were socialists” argument will still gain any traction.

We don’t need to play word games with the NSDAP name. We have the words of the Shitbag himself who in his Shitbag Opus, describes his attitude towards Marxism and Socialism:

…The Jewish doctrine of Marxism rejects the aristocratic principle of Nature and replaces the eternal privilege of power and strength by the mass of numbers and their dead weight. Thus it denies the value of personality in man, contests the significance of nationality and race, and thereby withdraws from humanity the premise of its existence and its culture. As a foundation of the universe, this doctrine would bring about the end of any order intellectually conceivable to man. And as, in this greatest of all recognizable organisms, the result of an application of such a law could only be chaos, on earth it could only be destruction for the inhabitants of this planet.

If, with the help of his Marxist creed, the Jew is victorious over the other peoples of the world, his crown will be the funeral wreath of humanity and this planet will, as it did thousands of years ago, move through the ether devoid of men.

Eternal Nature inexorably avenges the infringement of her commands.

Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord [p. 60].

…To what an extent the whole existence of this people is based on a continuous lie is shown incomparably by the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, so infinitely hated by the Jews. They are based on a forgery, the Frankfurter Zeitung moans and screams once every week: the best proof that they are authentic… For once this book has become the common property of a people, the Jewish menace may be considered as broken [p. 279].

…His unfailing instinct in such things scents the original soul (die urspruengliche Seele) in everyone, and his hostility is assured to anyone who is not spirit of his spirit. Since the Jew is not the attacked but the attacker, not only anyone who attacks passes as his enemy, but also anyone who resists him. But the means with which he seeks to break such reckless but upright souls is not honest warfare, but lies and slander.

Here he stops at nothing, and in his vileness he becomes so gigantic that no one need be surprised if among our people the personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumes the living shape of the Jew.

The ignorance of the broad masses about the inner nature of the Jew, the lack of instinct and narrow-mindedness of our upper classes, make the people an easy victim for this Jewish campaign of lies.

While from innate cowardice the upper classes turn away from a man whom the Jew attacks with lies and slander, the broad masses from stupidity or simplicity believe everything. The state authorities either cloak themselves in silence or, what usually happens, in order to put an end to the Jewish press campaign, they persecute the unjustly attacked, which, in the eyes of such an official ass, passes as the preservation of state authority and the safeguarding of law and order.

Slowly fear and the Marxist weapon of Jewry descend like a nightmare on the mind and soul of decent people.

They begin to tremble before the terrible enemy and thus have become his final victim.

The Jews domination in the state seems so assured that now not only can he call himself a Jew again, but he ruthlessly admits his ultimate national and political designs. A section of his race openly owns itself to be a foreign people, yet even here they lie. For while the Zionists try to make the rest of the world believe that the national consciousness of the Jew finds its satisfaction in the creation of a Palestinian state, the Jews again slyly dupe the dumb Goyim. It doesn’t even enter their heads to build up a Jewish state in Palestine for the purpose of living there; all they want is a central organization for their international world swindle, endowed with its own sovereign rights and removed from the intervention of other states: a haven for convicted scoundrels and a university for budding crooks.

It is a sign of their rising confidence and sense of security that at a time when one section is still playing the German, Frenchman, or Englishman, the other with open effrontery comes out as the Jewish race.

How close they see approaching victory can be seen by the hideous aspect which their relations with the members of other peoples takes on.

With satanic joy in his face, the black-haired Jewish youth lurks in wait for the unsuspecting girl whom he defiles with his blood, thus stealing her from her people. With every means he tries to destroy the racial foundations of the people he has set out to subjugate. Just as he himself systematically ruins women and girls, he does not shrink back from pulling down the blood barriers for others, even on a large scale. It was and it is Jews who bring the Negroes into the Rhineland, always with the same secret thought and clear aim of ruining the hated white race by the necessarily resulting bastardization, throwing it down from its cultural and political height, and himself rising to be its master.

For a racially pure people which is conscious of its blood can never be enslaved by the Jew. In this world he will forever be master over bastards and bastards alone.

And so he tries systematically to lower the racial level by a continuous poisoning of individuals.

And in politics he begins to replace the idea of democracy by the dictatorship of the proletariat.

In the organized mass of Marxism he has found the weapon which lets him dispense with democracy and in its stead allows him to subjugate and govern the peoples with a dictatorial and brutal fist.

He works systematically for revolutionization in a twofold sense: economic and political.

Around peoples who offer too violent a resistance to attack from within he weaves a net of enemies, thanks to his international influence, incites them to war, and finally, if necessary, plants a flag of revolution on the very battlefields.

In economics he undermines the states until the social enterprises which have become unprofitable are taken from the state and subjected to his financial control.

In the political field he refuses the state the means for its self-preservation, destroys the foundations of all national self-maintenance and defense, destroys faith in the leadership, scoffs at its history and past, and drags everything that is truly great into the gutter.

Culturally, he contaminates art, literature, the theater, makes a mockery of natural feeling, overthrows all concepts of beauty and sublimity, of the noble and the good, and instead drags men down into the sphere of his own base nature.

Religion is ridiculed, ethics and morality represented as outmoded, until the last props of a nation in its struggle for existence in this world have fallen.

Now begins the great last revolution. In gaining political power the Jew casts off the few cloaks that he still wears. The democratic peoples Jew becomes the blood-Jew and tyrant over peoples. In a few years he tries to exterminate the national intelligentsia and by robbing the peoples of their natural intellectual leadership makes them ripe for the slaves lot of permanent subjugation.

The most frightful example of this kind is offered by Russia, where he killed or starved about thirty million people with positively fanatical savagery, in part amid inhuman tortures, in order to give a gang of Jewish journalists and stock exchange bandits domination over a great people.

The end is not only the end of the freedom of the peoples oppressed by the Jew, but also the end of this parasite upon the nations. After the death of his victim, the vampire sooner or later dies too [pp. 293-296].

This sign uses the rhetorical device of ‘logos’.
To clarify: Muzzles were used on slaves to silence them and depersonalize them, to degrade them and dehumanize them. Muzzles are used on animals to silence them and prevent them attacking, not to torture them.
Healthy human beings, against their free will, are being forced to wear masks which silence and depersonalize the human person and suggest that we are a danger to others.
Hope this explanation helps.

Look it up and educate yourself on the subject for a change instead of blindly following so called authority and not questioning them. I appreciate you questioning me though. I do not want anybody to look up to me. Everyone should lead themselves and be their own hero, be independent and free. You are the only failed leadership because you’ve failed to lead yourself and expect others to look up to veterans instead of looking up to themselves. Don’t put people down like that. They’re better than that. They don’t have to look up to anyone but themselves because all humans possess awesome power and great strength. You’re putting on a big act that people are just “poor little people”.

Wisdom and miracles do happen.

//” All human life and it’s frantic concerns are nothing more than a big act, and we unconsciously set this up. ”//

That sums up the Wuhan Virus source.

This phony pandemic is no natural act nor surprise. We’re but a link in the chain of evolution as humans. All this suffering and pain, what a wake-up alarm.

I wear masks constantly at work. I do heavy labor in an n95 or respirator. Even cooking in the sun under a tyvek suit to boot. Certainly never got sick from it. Properly using any safety equipment is the responsibility of the wearer.

He’s just spouting lies. Masks, nor respirators build up CO2. An N95 mask, nor a PM2.5 (2.5 microns, or 2.5 x 10^-6 meters) mask will stop a CO2 molecule, which is approximately 400 pico meters (400 x 10^-12 meters) . Why would someone design a mask of any kind, even a gas mask, that would suffocate its user?

Ignorant people parroting other people who intentionally spread false information to support their interests! The funny thing is they think we are all sheep and only they think for themselves.

We do have a right to free speech, but it’s still illegal to shout “Fire!” in a crowded theater.
Your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins.
This deadly virus is spread by people who think they’re healthy but are carrying the disease and showing no symptoms. When you cough, sneeze, shout, or even simply exhale, you are spreading germs in your breath that can infect people dozens of feet away from you. Wearing a mask is the only way to prevent this. If you want to kill your own relatives, that’s between you and them, but you have no right to endanger me or my vulnerable family because you’re so selfish you can’t be bothered to keep your virus infected breath to yourself.
The government has lots of laws and rules to protect you and me from dangerous people.
An asymptomatic person, who may or may not be carrying the virus, in a public place without wearing a mask, is a dangerous person.
I have a right to be protected from your germs.
You do not have a right to spread them.
Please wear a mask in public, it’s the only way we’re going to slow down this pandemic.

It’s perfectly legal and within your right to yell “fire” in a crowded theater… especially if there is a fire. The criminal act is the mayhem caused by inciting people to act if there is not a fire. It’s not the speech that is criminal, it is the call to action.

Given as wearing a cloth mask does not depersonalize nor silence a person, nor is that why you’re being forced to wear one, there is a bit of a flaw in that explanation.

Joe Collins is an idiot.

Collins quickly put the newfound cash to use. In August, Collins posted photos with Donald Trump Jr. and Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani at a fundraiser for Trump in the Hamptons. He got there by making a $5,600 contribution from his campaign to Trump’s joint fundraising committee. Collins’ campaign also spent nearly $9,000 at Trump’s hotel in Washington, between a July event and a September stay.

That’s a tiny slice of the roughly $20 million political committees have spent at Trump-owned businesses since the 2016 election cycle. But the Trump Organization isn’t the only company benefiting from Collins’ campaign spending.

In just three months, Collins’ brand-new campaign spent nearly $59,000 on travel and food, making up nearly 14 percent of his spending. That includes more than $19,000 on Delta flights, nearly $5,000 on Uber rides and a whopping $14,609 at the Palm Restaurant, a high-end Washington steakhouse that features portraits of major political players on its walls.

Much of the remainder of Collins’ spending went toward fundraising efforts to keep the money flowing in. The Collins campaign paid an unknown company called Pure Strategy Solutions $77,378 through September to do some of its fundraising work. There is no record of the company in California public records, nor is there any record of the company’s Beverly Hills address.

Collins didn’t respond to a request for comment about his campaign spending by the time of publication.

It’s the leftists that have shown that they are prone to violence ever since Trump became president and right before. Just look at antifa. Look at how many Trump supporters have been harassed and violently attacked over the past 4 years. I was assaulted by a car as a pedestrian because I was wearing a Trump hat. Yeah, I’m Buddhist and a Trump supporter! Your cognitive dissonance is torturing you now, right? There’s a list of 200 attacks on Trump supporters across the nation that is constantly being updated. WHY DON’T YOU LOOK AT THAT!?!? Where have you been? Furthermore, leftists has been making up dozens if not hundreds of hate crimes and violent attacks and blaming it on the right because THE DEMAND FOR HATE AND VIOLENCE ON THE RIGHT FAR OUTWEIGHS THE SUPPLY THE LEFT WANTS. Do I need to remind you of Jussie Smollet in Chicago and his little stunt? He hired 2 Nigerians to beat him up and blame it on Trump supporters. Remember the Bernie bro who shot the Republicans on the baseball field? Are you blind? You are projecting again, the one thing the left is good at.

Most viruses are highly contagious. Technically it’s not new, all corona viruses (animal viruses) have been around for thousands of years and have evolved with us, but this one has been modified to affect people from animal for the reason “just in case it did jump from animal to human.” That’s China’s/Wuhan’s excuse. Im glad to see people standing up but man I really wish folks would start to protest the actual issues (preferably from their cars)-our government needs to provide UBI to all residents (including those without documents), healthcare, PPP, free at home testing, hazard pay for essential workers, free childcare, rent and mortgage cancellations, a real stimulus that people actually receive (3 people in my family and we got $0 for a stimulus), no billionaire bailouts, unemployment dept- try answering the phone? How about protesting the disproportionate impacts on the poor and minority communities, those who are incarcerated and basically serving a death sentences now including CHILDREN, and police violence all around the country?

Im not sure why these folks are protesting, no one technically made us stay home, did they? I understood it was a suggestion. Children are dying in NYC and Europe from a mutated Covid-19. Seems super crucial to figure out how to work from home, get up to speed with technology, get yourself an essential job (what are you doing otherwise?), and cut your own hair or whatever. I really do not get it, can someone explain it to me? Maybe businesses that want to stay open should be able to if they feel its a good idea? Would that solve your issues? You all want to work jobs that dont pay living wages that much? Or are you all business owners who just want your employees to risk their lives at work? I think if someone who works at a business that open disagrees, they should get full pay to stay home.

Where does government get the money for UBI and all the other things you suggest they should provide? Please explain how your ideas are in anyway reasonable. I’d be happy to eat rainbow stew with a silver spoon if it was possible but it’s not so let people live their lives as they see fit and the government should stay out of it for the most part.

They find all kinds of money for corporate welfare and handouts to the rich. Money for them never runs out. They been eating rainbows on silver spoons since the ’80s.

The government needs to be supporting the REAL economy, instead, which means workers, the vast majority of whom live off a mere pittance. WE are the backbone of this economy. And WE deserve better.

Country Bunpkin- Where does the government get the money for ~10 trillion in bailouts mainly going to billionaires? Ex. All Americans would get more than 10k if they split these stimulus’s evenly (even children). They print the money! So- “get the money” from the billionaires and soon trillionaire (bezos) whom the government just sold our children’s future to- of course! Ever notice how the only time our government cares about “balancing the budget” its in response to the majority having basic human rights like healthcare and food? Its not a coincidence, they are robbing you!
Also-Money is not real, the government just prints it as they see fit (~10 trillion included), the banks loan 90% using fractional reserve banking too. At this time, the priorities are to serve the elites obviously so we all increase productivity for generations and risk our lives for the economy while the elite get more and more. If your not going to stand up for yourself, stand up for your children and grandchildren.

Thanks 🙂 In some ways nothing has changed too. The poor, children, women and minorities have always been asked to die for the economy, every day of our lives. EX. My husband was just weighing potential jobs available-one option was clear cutting the forest, another being a cop or risking his life on a fishing boat in Alaska. HE opted for the lessor of the evils and to risk his life instead for the greater good. I sense this will all end quite ironically with many people who are protesting dying 🙁 Survival of the wisest? Now that’s new!

The models that got us into this trauma based mind control mess have been proven fraudulent, and were not peer reviewed. Models have been produced by different scientists and agencies all over the world, and most have been in general agreement. None have been shown to be fraudulent. Even if one were shown to be fraudulent, it would have had to have been made fraudulent in a manner that made it agree with everyone else’s models. Being wrong is not the same as being fraudulent, and there’s not even evidence of them being wrong. Early models predicting much higher deaths were based on the transmission rate prior to lockdowns, social distancing, etc. They were not shown to be wrong – they were simply made obsolete by changes in the world.

The people in that video are being intentionally misleading, and often bordering on outright wrong.

Every argument they make about the coding process is 100% bullshit. They’re hoping you don’t know it. It’s normal to need to clean code up before releasing it – when trying to get something done fast, you often use hacks that only work on your system or only for very specific inputs. Most software does not have unit tests, especially not in the early days. And quoting random github comments is about like quoting random youtube comments.

Most notably, at no point do they try to claim that the released software produces any different graphs than the ones that were published.

And then they go on to try to discredit the author because he was having an affair… Because if you can’t actually attack someone’s data, attack the person. That always works. Not.

Bill Gates is no longer actively involved in Microsoft, nor does hosting on a Microsoft site even imply Microsoft developed something. I don’t even see why you try to connect him to this, or what you hope to accomplish by doing so.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html

According to this link, there are 85,990 deaths in the US and 1,412,421 supposed confirmed cases, meaning only 1/2 % of the people that we know of, who have contracted it, have died.

That’s ignoring ULLR’s point about the higher morbidity rate of people 65 and older. It also ignores the fact that WHO KNOWS how many people are walking around who have it or have already had it, further driving down the actual morbidity rate.

All of this and the geniuses on the comment section here have the balls to call protestors morons and blather on about science. Notice they are all liberals. Tyranny comes from the left, without exception.

“Tyranny comes from the left, without exception.” {{citation needed}}

Deaths lag behind infections by a couple weeks. You should compare the current death tally to the number of infections two weeks ago. It’s about 1% then. And, it’s only 1% because social distancing has been successfully preventing overloading of hospitals. All models, predictions by competent agencies, and real-world experience (Italy) show hospitals would be horribly overloaded if we hadn’t, with much higher death rates.

Too late to edit my post, but the poster below pointed out I was very wrong. If we actually divide the current deaths by two weeks’ ago infections, it’s closer to 9%. That’ll teach me to ever assume people aren’t just outright lying when they give numbers…

In spite of all your arrogance, you are incorrect. Using your CDC numbers for deaths and known infections, the mortality rate for those known to be infected is 6.1%, not 0.5%. I know, math is hard! FYI, this is not how mortality rates are calculated, since we do not know the actual number of infections. As well, it assumes all of the current cases are resolved (meaning the outcome is final).

Now, I am not sure how the WHO knows how many people have had it that would further drive down the mortality rate. The only way this could happen that I can think of is if the WHO knows how many people were, and are now asymptomatic, for which I have not seen a recognized number. A source would be useful.

Now, how about laying off all the rhetoric? We get it, you think you are smarter than everyone else (even though you clearly make simple mistakes like all the rest of us) and you don’t like democrats. Well, I have news for you, liberals are not to blame for all of society’s problems, just look at the federal government which is currently republican controlled and a complete fucking mess! As well, who just voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act for warrantless surveillance of U.S. citizens? Yes, the House reauthorized it last year. But the Republican controlled Senate also voted down an amendment to it that would have barred warrantless tracking of internet browsing and search history data. You are okay with giving up those rights?

We ALL make mistakes, we just need to admit we are not smarter than everyone else who holds a different opinion.

I also noted after reading the OP’s post again that when he said “WHO KNOWS”, I thought he meant that the “World Health Organization knows”, so I made a reading comprehension mistake that invalidates my second paragraph, as it is close to what he was saying in his second paragraph. However, I stand by the rest of my rant.

Marc,

“I know, math is hard! ”

That was pretty funny. I stand corrected on my math. However, the larger point remains. According to this, if you are under 50, your chance of dying is 0.2%. If you are between 50 and 60 your odds are a whopping 0.6%. And these numbers are certainly much lower given the fact that there are millions of people walking around who have already had the disease and have not been diagnosed/confirmed. So if we know that the majority of people who die are old, why are we shutting down the economy for everybody? It is pointless and more harmful than helpful.

https://reason.com/2020/04/03/what-percentage-of-covid-19-patients-are-likely-to-die/

“liberals are not to blame for all of society’s problems”

Yes I think I’m smart. I believe government is responsible for the bulk of our problems and liberals advocate for more government. People ignoring the aforementioned facts on who corona virus kills are almost invariably liberal democrats. So no, I don’t like democrats. They ignore the science while preaching about science. If they ACTUALLY gave shit about people and about science they would demand all of our efforts go towards protecting those most at risk, OLD PEOPLE! And they would be supporting their fellow citizens desire to feed their fucking families instead of supporting an incompetent, overreaching government.

“just look at the federal government which is currently republican controlled and a complete fucking mess! As well, who just voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act for warrantless surveillance of U.S. citizens”

I completely agree. And I would stand with Democrats in denouncing this bullshit. Unfortunately, today’s Democrats don’t seem to give a shit about civil liberties.

“You are okay with giving up those rights?”

No I’m not. I don’t support any internet spying, warrantless phone taps, the NSA, the “Patriot Act”, the bailouts, the wars, none of it. I don’t support any of the shit (ands it’s a lot of shit) that the Republicans do while they’re professing to be for smaller government. It’s disgusting. But the starting premise is that we need less government, not more. Democrats starting premise is more government.

What anyone can read if they wish are reports from people who have had COVID-19, or still have it, or whose family members have it. It’s not like some old people are walking down the street and suddenly they get a sore throat and keel over. Oh, sorry, RIP. 1) People of all ages get it, including very healthy fit younger people; and yes, young children are showing serious but atypical symptoms, after being considered “immune”; 2) the disease brings terrible suffering, including high fevers, body aches often described as being “beaten up” or “run over by a truck”, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, severe headaches, distortions in senses and cognition — and of course, our old favorite, lung damage resulting in the inability to breathe and a painful, ugly death; 3) we still don’t know if there’s any significant natural immunity; 4) a significant number of people who got sick seemed to be getting well, and then became ill again, even worse this time, either with recognized COVID symptoms or symptoms of an immune system gone amok; 5) younger, healthy, asymptomatic people are developing blood clots leading to strokes and heart attacks, linked to an inflammatory overreaction of their immune systems to COVID. I don’t want to get this disease even if I survive, and I don’t want anyone else to have to suffer like this, either, even these self-important “rights” activists who put their “right” not to wear a mask over everyone else’s safety. Yoo hoo, folks, the reason there’s only been 40 cases in Humboldt, is because people HAVE practiced social distancing and so much has been shut down. Your right to wear a bare face and go wherever you want does not “trump” anyone’s right to life. Right-to-lifers, did you hear that?

That ignores that staying at home is not a cure for covid-19. Only in a country with secure borders can staying at home eliminate infection enough that testing, tracking and quarantine can make it relatively safe to conduct business. The US has one of the least secure borders in the world. There will be a constant stream of people from elsewhere to start new infections all over the country. Certainly humboldt, with it’s pot workers and drug addiction is one of the places least likely to be able to outlast the virus by staying inside at home.

So get it sooner or later is the reality. Unless you live in a secure compound with a 10 year supply of everything you’ll ever need.

What “unproven stuff” hasn’t come true? From what I’ve seen, scientists have been right pretty damn often on this. Specifically, they kept saying this is a bad virus and we need to take action now, the wealthy elite kept saying no it’s fine carry on as usual because we need to keep profiting off your labor, then it ended up being bad and we needed to take action.

Not having all the information, or even being wrong at times, does not somehow entirely invalidate science and say we should go with total bullshit and random opinions instead.

Uh. We have had a fraction of the deaths predicted, in the timeframe predicted. Notice all the empty hospitals, and unused emergency beds? They said we’d have had 100s of thousands of deaths by now. Nope, pretty close to the flu actually. Fauci said as much in a article he publiced in the Lancet last months. No, Fauci did not say it was like a flu.

So you read the Lancet?

Here is their latest, basically saying Trump needs to go:

“The Administration is obsessed with magic bullets—vaccines, new medicines, or a hope that the virus will simply disappear,” the journal states. “But only a steadfast reliance on basic public health principles, like test, trace, and isolate, will see the emergency brought to an end, and this requires an effective national public health agency.”

“A strong CDC is needed to respond to public health threats, both domestic and international, and to help prevent the next inevitable pandemic. Americans must put a president in the White House come January, 2021, who will understand that public health should not be guided by partisan politics,” the journal concluded.

You’d better hope there is a “magic bullet” because almost no one can stay home to prevent infection that will be circulating for a minimum of two years. Maybe diligently prepared Mormons. Staying isolated is only a preventative as long as it is totally secure and can last long enough for herd immunity to limit the amount of future virus exposure. And you also better hope for that this virus is not likely to recur seasonally because then you’d have to hide for your whole life to have the security you crave.

An unsigned opinion piece from a British medical journal, a country less prepared than most of the world. Of course some “scientists” are frustrated. They live in a world where practicalities like finding money to pay for wants is the responsibility of the government and not theirs. Such scientists miss that the great outside world is not focussed only on their own limited studies but must go along rubbing up on inconvenient nitty gritty like drug addicts, unwanted children, national politics, running out of toilet paper and a mass of irritating unexpected consequences. Just like the commenters who target their personal boogiemen, they just the point that while pointing fingers is easy, they themselves have failed to produce what they criticize others for failing to produce. The CDC for examples has failed a number of health crisises long before Trump ever got elected. Grow up and put on your big boy pants. One leg at a time like everyone else.

The description that is detailed in that factually light article is quite different than what our local Humboldt nurse told us of her work in NY.

https://kymkemp.com/2020/04/25/a-humboldt-county-nurse-describes-working-in-a-nyc-field-hospital-as-the-city-staggered-beneath-the-weight-of-the-covid-19-pandemic/

And it doesn’t line up with most accounts thus far. That’s a red flag.

Maybe the stress got to your articles sources’ head?

Maybe she cracked, or maybe she is wrong.

The fact that she is not returning calls and developing her story further may be a hint.

And so, your statement, as normal, is making a world of a statement on nothing factual.

Yes, ~6% based on the numbers he provided, which is the “case” mortality rate, or the mortality rate based on diagnosed cases. You are correct that mortality is based on actual infections, for which there is no supported figure yet; however, it is also based on resolved cases, so either recovered, or dead.

According to Johns Hopkins (https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html), the current number of confirmed cases is 1,465,066, deaths are 89,562, and recovered cases is 272,265. Using these figures (for sake of argument), the number of resolved cases is the number of deaths plus the number recovered patients, or 361,827. Assuming a rate of 50 times for infections, mortality rate would be 89,562 / (50 x 361,827) = 0.49%, but at a rate of 20 times, the number becomes 1.2%. Note, I have seen factors as low as ~12 reported compared to the 20 to 50 you note.

What does this mean? First, the flu has a typical mortality rate of 0.1%, so we know that COVID-19 mortality is higher than the flu. Second, we need to understand what is the actual infection rate, including asymptomatic carriers. Until we know the latter we need to take all REASONABLE precautions

How is your fear mongering over imaginary government overreach any different than saying “the sky is falling”? Nobody is being forced to stay home – none of you protesters have been arrested, have you? Have there been any arrests for not wearing a mask? No! If I choose to stay home, it is not because the government has forced me to and it is not because I am afraid of the virus – it is because I am afraid of people who ignore science, spread conspiracy theories and endanger public health. If I choose to wear a mask, again, it is not because the government is forcing me to, but because I don’t know if I have CoVid and I don’t want to unknowingly spread it by coughing or sneezing from seasonal allergies. I totally respect your constitutional right to protest, but is it possible to make your point without all the insults?

The point is always not that there are no excess deaths from covid-19 but that creating an economic depression in futile attempts to eliminate by government orders it is not a possible strategy. Eventually the continued attempts to bully everyone into locking themselves in their homes simply can not be done. The very resistance to it is not the cause of the spread but a reality that it can’t work as cure.

In other words, ragging on about the number of deaths is not a solution. That just gives a worse failure. A reasonable targeted response would be more effective but then, just as the protesters do not agree with your every want, you would not agree to theirs either. We are doomed by our own spiteful, arrogant divisions and unwillingness to have a civil compromise.

🕯🌳Its only been half a day and this thread has been more entertaining than Netflix’s. I’ll bet that 99.9% of haven’t been tested and are scared to go have the test done. I’ve been once a month for the last three months. And I’m scared I’m 63. Yesterday I was portrayed as wanting death, not true. Common sense, maybe which really seems to be lacking in some, not all,but some of you.🕯🕯🕯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

These protesters are breaking the shelter in place ordinance by gathering in a large group, not wearing masks (some of them), and not social distancing (some of them). The protests should be broken up by law enforcement. Repeat offenders should be cited. I’ve been in protests in my life that violated a city or county ordinance and I was removed. Why is this any different?

These Karen’s should be publicly shamed and castigated for their dog whistle racist signs. I’m nauseous knowing myself and my children live amongst such bigoted, uneducated ass hats. This TRUMPPENCE GENOCIDE is killing many, and I hope it doesn’t affect your family.UNFORTUNATELY, the large increase in cases this week(at a nursing home!)proves that it is not time to come out of SELF QUARANTINE. STAYING HOME protects us all. Great that these people are protesting this virus overreaction. You have a better chance of pneumonia killing you in CA than this virus. Massage the numbers all you want but this virus that was predicted to be so very deadly is not the scary thing that is powering this fear based insanity.

Someone always seems to claim something/everything is racist. I think its racist & manipulative to make such “claims”! The liberal thing never changes.

Something HAD to be found to destroy the economy & this virus was the tool chosen. The black ops people are busy taking notes on how the citizens respond to this over reach of power.

I haven’t been tested,I’m not quivering in fear in my house,I can breath in the stupid masks & I have never taken a flu shot & won’t take a shot for this virus! I’m near 70 & not afraid.

Humboldt has ZERO deaths from from this so called “scary” virus.

If you think your mask is protecting you read this article!

Nothing new in the linked article. What you should note is that masks may help prevent an infected individual from spreading COVID-19, they are not intended to protect the wearer. The article did state exactly this. My mask helps protect you, and your mask helps protect me. There are no guarantees in life, but if it could help then why not wear a mask until we learn more about this virus and have empirical data showing they either work, or don’t.

Control bushytails. Simple control.

“Once someone has nothing, they will do anything for something” (me)

Freedom and self reliance is the enemy of every government entity. Be it communism, federalism, or yes socialism. Freedom is the enemy. Besides, it’s not there wealth and power they are worried about tails, it’s ours! When the people have to much wealth and power it endangers the well being and false sense of power that people like Bill gates and yes Trump, possess. We the people when free and living in prosperity are a force to be reckoned with…… THAT is why we are fighting for our freedoms and against government control! We the people have literally given away not only our freedoms but our jobs, businesses and homes to the most widely used tactic in any government entity’s arsenal. Fear. If you think this is all for salvation of you me, your sadly misinformed and blinded. It’s salvation of power and wealth.

Calls and puts… It’s quite simple.

You can make more money on a put option knowing the circumstances are grim. It’s actually a great time to make a shit ton of money off the economy if you can grasp basic options contract.

On the contrary taking a call option at the money would be risky af.

I see how the elite and rich are probably loving this economic disaster, look at the candle stick charts lol they are a option traders dream right now.

The claim “…that masks may help prevent an infected individual from spreading COVID-19, they are not intended to protect the wearer,” makes absolutely no sense. So a surgical mask or bandana has a magical one-way filtering system? How does that work? If particles are smaller than the effective filter, they will pass through. Especially if the filter is not sealed against your skin. Cloth filters are ineffective. Period. Buy a n95 mask or respirator if you actually want protection. *Note that a respirator WILL only filter particles coming in, NOT particles coming out because it is SEALED against your face (providing your face is clean and shaven) and has a one-way flap for reliving exhausted air similar to a gas mask.*

Gretha Stenger And Larkin Small’s signs comparing a cotton mask used to protect others from coovid 19 to a slave’s muzzle is insensitive and appalling, not different from those who want to compare stay at home orders to nazism. Such comparisons belittle the true suffering of those who endured atrocities. I can understand if some folks feel afraid of the economic ramifications of this whole situation but resisting wearing a mask is ridiculous. We can get back on track sooner if people mask and social distance.

Gasp! Black people can be idiotic too?

Say it isn’t so.

More on Joe Collins:

Earlier this year, Navy veteran Joe Collins was an obscure candidatefor president, running on the Green Party ticket to fight againstthe “party establishment.”

Now, he’s one of two Republicans running to unseat Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.). And his campaign is spending generously on Uber rides, steakhouse dinners, plane flights and nights at five-star hotels, including President Donald Trump’s Washington, D.C., hotel.

Your article refers to models and not actual scientific research. The author of your article is a “data scientist.” What does that mean? Statistician? He’s not a medical scientist. Looking further into the article, he references other studies that “prove” mask efficacy in the arrest of disease transmission. This is not true. Those articles he references are for more modeling designed by computer scientists, not medical scientists. They rely on a process called cellular automata which is a type of rudimentary ai. The referenced articles are also in the process of peer review, not peer reviewed papers. This is not science. This is opinion.

That’s incorrect. Data scientists analyze all types of data. For instance, they can analyze data that medical scientists collect. In fact, medical scientists ARE data scientists. You collect data (temperatures, covid-test results) and ANALYZE THE DATA. Good try though.

I never said that medical professionals couldn’t be data scientists; I said that a data scientist isn’t necessarily a medical professional. By your logic, I guess I’m a data scientist because I can aggregate and interpret medical information from raw data sets. Does that make me qualified to tell you or anyone else what to do? My point was that the people influencing decision making are using computer models (which so far have been grossly inaccurate), not on the ground data; and are not epidemiologists, virologists, etc. Make your own decisions about who to believe, but check their credentials first!

1665 plague outbreak – Village of Eyam – Wikipedia

The history of the plague in the village began in 1665 when a flea-infested bundle of cloth arrived from London for Alexander Hadfield, the local tailor.[14] Within a week his assistant George Viccars who, noticing the bundle was damp, had opened it up,[15] was dead and more began dying in the household soon after.[16]

As the disease spread, the villagers turned for leadership to their rector, the Reverend William Mompesson, and the ejected Puritan minister Thomas Stanley. They introduced a number of precautions to slow the spread of the illness from May 1666. The measures included the arrangement that families were to bury their own dead and relocation of church services to the natural amphitheatre of Cucklett Delph,[17] allowing villagers to separate themselves and so reducing the risk of infection. Perhaps the best-known decision was to quarantine the entire village to prevent further spread of the disease.

The plague ran its course over 14 months and one account states that it killed at least 260 villagers, with only 83 surviving out of a population of 350.[16] That figure has been challenged on a number of occasions, with alternative figures of 430 survivors from a population of around 800 being given.[16] The church in Eyam has a record of 273 individuals who were victims of the plague.[18]

Survival among those affected appeared random, as many who remained alive had close contact with those who died but never caught the disease. For example, Elizabeth Hancock was uninfected despite burying six children and her husband in eight days. The graves are known as the Riley graves after the farm where they lived.[14] The unofficial village gravedigger, Marshall Howe, also survived, despite handling many infected bodies.[16]

The village’s actions prevented the disease from moving into surrounding areas.[19]

What do we want? Racist signs! When do we want them? Now!

Following the nationwide pattern of racist, ignorant behaviors such as claiming that shelter in place protestors are “like Rosa Parks” and likening themselves to modern day “civil rights heroes”, now we have white women suggesting that covering one’s nose and mouth during a pandemic is akin to being enslaved and having a torture device forcibly strapped to their heads after being kidnapped from their homeland and transported across the ocean (if they lived) to face rape, theft of children, ongoing violence, forced medical experimentation and early death. And with their sign also grossly putting enslaved Black people in the same category as dogs.

Stop with this disgusting, racist, harm-causing behavior already. Also, stop saying slaves. They were enslaved African people. And the history and trauma experienced by enslaved Black people and their descendants is not for white people to attempt to use to protest anything.

Ah yes, the tired old accusation of “playing the race card” when people discuss the existence of racism and white people’s responsibilities to address it in themselves and with fellow white people. Go ahead and keep sticking your head in the sand and pretending that racism was something that happened “300 years ago”. The fact of the matter is is that you, as an obvious fragile white person, are responsible for your behaviors and that of your fellow white people. Get it together already. Or maybe you need to go cuddle with your emotional support weapon.

Statistically, two of these people will get the the virus and two more of other illnesses. They are only harming themselves.
There are 22 new virus cases this past week, more in half a month than all of last month. We are headed to a total lock down if people keep gathering in community.

A lockdown leads to at least some people sneaking around and spreading the virus below official radar. Which is at least some of part of the protestors’ complaint. Which is why Sweden has made it easier to voluntarily comply with isolation rather than attempt to force compliance. Because- tah da- forcing, however it makes the fearful feel more secure, is impossible to keep up for the long haul.

If you are staying home, wearing your mask and have all your vaccines up to date,
Why are you so freaked out by the people that want to work and maintain their freedom? Aren’t you safe in your safe space? How many of you have caught the virus by staying home?

You can order your groceries and most everything else you need from Amazon. You can shelter until there’s a new vaccine.

Don’t you believe what you’re doing works? Why FORCE your will on everyone else? Let other folks work, go to the beach, live their lives.

How are you going to catch anything in your own home with your mask, gloves and sanitizer, sitting at your computer complaining about a dozen people that want to protect your civil rights?

The goal post keeps moving you were asked to shelter in place until Hospitals were freed up, they are, now some folks want to shelter in place for a year or two, why?

Will you ever be safe enough?

You must have added half of your comment later, and I’m under moderation, so mine are delayed.

So at risk persons are the persons wanting to voluntarily SIP longer. Does that bother you? Why?

And the Stanford “5 month” quote, are you making a mountain out of a molehill?

Look from your article:

“We estimate that shelter-in-place would have to remain in place for about five months or more in order to actually completely suppress the epidemic,” said Stanford biology professor Erin Mordecai.

While it’s not likely for a shelter-in-place order to remain in effect for that long, Mordecai says we’re beginning to see some of the positive effects of social distancing in Santa Clara County, based on data from the global MIDAS network.

She is saying 5 months to “completely suppress” and acknowledges that this likely won’t happen.

So, back to you.

What’s the problem?

Now they want to vaccinate us with no exceptions?
If I have a choice and I chose to vaccinate that’s on me …the same with going outside and all other risks.

” So at risk persons are the persons wanting to voluntarily SIP longer. Does that bother you? Why?”

No one said anything about voluntarily staying home we’ve been talking about mandated sip.

COINCIDENCE? Two plants that manufacture Magnesium Stearate used to make Hydroxychloroquine were set on fire

FYI …

Large fire at magnesium factory in Madison, Illinois
may 10, 2020

Magnesium Stearate is an ingredient used in Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) AND Azithromycin.

Two plants that manufacture it are on fire, in Madison, Illinois and Sierra Madre, Mexico.
-Ed.

Note: Magnesium Stearate is a common flow agent that pill and capsule manufacturers add to their products (not just HCQ) to prevent their machines from jamming.

Why is magnesium stearate used in some products?
Now Foods
https://www.nowfoods.com/now/nowledge/magnesium-stearate-faqs

Natural ingredients don’t always smoothly flow through processing equipment and manufacturers need to utilize excipients like stearates to fill capsules or form tablets. Magnesium stearate is the most desirable natural flow agent.

Hot Coffee, if someone on public media states something they claim is being suppressed, that is a red flag to question their interpretation. Pure and simple being discussed in a public place is at least some proof they are not being truthful about being suppressed. Skepticism is one thing, making a living out of creating it is another.

Again, like I said, white women using an image of an enslaved African woman with a metal torture device forcibly strapped to her head to try to make a comparison to white people covering their faces during a pandemic is disgusting, racist and not okay. No, white people protesting shelter in place are not “like Rosa Parks” and no, white people protesting wearing facial coverings during a pandemic are not “the new civil rights heroes”. White people again are being racist, clueless, tone deaf and ignorant with these signs and with these protests. And they stay infecting others with their spit because they are too selfish and entitled to take actions to protect everyone by covering their faces during a pandemic. Also…these white people are the same ones throwing a fit over a Black athlete taking a knee by himself to protest police brutality against Black people.

American’s policy, which takes effect May 11, will require passengers to wear a mask or another kind of face covering while on board aircraft. The airline previously required flight attendants to begin wearing masks.

Delta’s policy takes effect on May 4, and requires passengers to wear masks while checking in, boarding, and throughout the flight, except for during meals. JetBlue’s policy similarly requires face coverings in most public areas, including at the airport.
