Is this the rumored 2nd wave?
LOL, there are hundreds if not thousands of cases in the county. One in eight days is stumbled upon and you ask if there is a wave?
There are estimated to be 25 to 50 X the number of known cases. That is why the death rate nationally is so low it’s akin to flu numbers.
https://thehill.com/opinion/healthcare/494034-the-data-are-in-stop-the-panic-and-end-the-total-isolation
Humboldt came out with a really nice graphic display for the info.
Great job.
I thought I saw someone post yesterday or the day before that the official strategy is to get herd immunity. That has been bugging me because that can’t be true, at this rate 80% infection rate won’t be achieved till the year 2157. That is one hell of a lockdown.
Chuck, it’s most likely in mid May many things will reopen.
June to July will feel good, with new awareness to safety in the spaced crowds.
July and August you’ll be free to visit Europe.
October and November is start of flu season…… than what Brian?
Wash your hands.
Today the CDC made it clear that as far as can be determined, having this disease DOES NOT CONFER IMMUNITY. Thus “herd immunity” is not likely to occur.
Stay safe by continuing to shelter in place, wash & sanitize, wear masks. Protect yourselves & protect the rest of us.
Herd immunity does not confer TOTAL immunity. Our bodies build up resistance and future cases become less severe. I’ve had the flu two or three times in my life. Others will never ever get it. We are all a little different. But we need to get to “herd immunity” to lessen its impact toward us generally.
By sheltering in place and killing everything we touch with bleach we are weakening our individual immune systems and setting our selves up for a spike in cases with negative outcomes rather than more mild outcomes.
No exactly what was said. There’s no proof because medical science requires specific test to determine it and these tested are not yet available. That is not the samevas it doesn’t convey immunity. In fact there is at least on small animal study that indicates it does- https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.13.990226v1.article-info but has not been replicated nor peer reviewed. It would be a real stunner if it doesn’t as most related corona virus do convey some immunity.
“The health agency says it is reviewing evidence on antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19-infection. The brief says “most” of the studies show that people who have “recovered from infection have antibodies to the virus.”
But as of yesterday, no study has “evaluated whether the presence of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 confers immunity to subsequent infection by this virus in humans. ” is what WHI saud- no study, not study proved anything. https://www.ctpost.com/news/article/National-coronavirus-updates-US-death-toll-15225716.php#dfpAd-dfp-1
I was also thinking today that we will have to deal with this at some point and we seem to be pushing that out to wildfire season when we will all be in the high risk category because of smoke, that seems extremely short sighted. If you want a worst case hospital scenario that is it.
To make matters worse, the USFS and Cal fire havent even hired up or started training their seasonal firefighters yet this year due to Covid. Usually they would be hired and starting soon for seasonal fire refreshers..so it will be skeleton crews for a while other than inmate fire crews..
My son is a inmate in a fire camp. They haven’t been able to do any training at all due to the Covid19..
They start June 15
And I heard June 15 is normal for new hires
In 2008, by June 23rd we needed trained men, and even with all we had we lost a lot. Smoke like that year and we have big problems with Covid-19. I really agree with the notion that the people in charge of this shit show need to have their pay pulled till we have plans and solutions that make sense just like the people they have pulled their checks from. What is the plan besides destroy every small business and half the families in the county???
At least most of us will have face masks to help with the smoke. That’s why I bought the ones I’m using now 10 years ago.
May 1st
As usual government is moving like a snail. Just trickling out useless information and expecting us to sit on our hind ends. Stop their paychecks until they make some progress . Why can’t they come up with a plan ? Lead , follow or get out of the way. No more long winded releases.
Your right. Remember how big a deal it was when government was shut down and we where still working? You’d have thought it was the end of the world watching the news tell of the poor suffering government workers who might miss their second paycheck in a row. Now the government and media are all fully employed and we are told to tighten our belts and be strong for the good of the country. Just hang on another month or two… then we have you right where we want you
I couldn’t have said it better . Nice
The constitution does not have a suspension emergency clause
Even Hitler didnt make my forefathers wear a face mask in public. Only a gold star
And then the death camps
And if you’d have told your average Getman when they instituted the star that soon there will be death camps they would have laughed at you
When are you all gonna stand up for your rights? When your on your way to FEMA CAMP for cremation?
Get up stand up dont give up your rights!!!
Or are your dreadlocks just some superficial fashion style?
Stand up and fight this crap,
well stated,
thanks.
Agree 100%, if people don’t stand up against this crap now, it will be too late.
Only 2 out of 135 thousand people
have corona, 0.0022%,
is no reason to keep the quarantine.
Progression in the US:
2/25 Two months ago today: 0 dead. Trump says: “When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.”
One month ago: 68,000 cases, 928 dead.
Two weeks ago: 525,000 cases, 20,000 dead.
Today: 957,000 cases, 54,000 dead.
After abolishment of Germany’s constitution of freedoms hitler blamed rich people for the problems of society and gave the masses free money and empty promises through the use of illegitimate funds and fear based biased propaganda. He called his new parliament The National Socialist Party of Germany. His new rules and laws were called The Order. Sound familiar?
Read the story of local nurse who went to NY to help out and you may find gratitude instead of selfish annoyance.
Do you really think gratitude was the proper response to Hitler? Because that is what was being equated to isolation orders.
Kym,
Could you ask Dr Frankovich if Humboldt will be getting Abbott ID NOW COVID-19 testing capabilities?
I will try. We’re limited on the number of questions that we can ask.
Of course you are. Leaders answer questions, people in power don’t have too.
Can you elaborate? How many questions are reporters “allowed” to ask the people who are dramatically changing our lives forever?
Each news organization is given two questions usually about twice per week each to county public health and to county law enforcement (in practice that is Dr. Frankovich, and Billy Honsal) They decide how to word the questions and even if they answer them at all, then they answer them in one video released to the media but there is no follow up questions or at least not until several days later, etc. It’s pretty frustrating.
On the one hand, they are busy and being puppets that we get to jerk around and make answer our questions even if we didn’t prepare thoroughly and look and see if the answer is already there, is obviously not reasonable. On the other, no follow up questions suck. And I hate feeling like questions that I at least think are important are ignored.
I’ve pretty much given up on asking questions directly and allowed one of my reporters who is most closely following the intricate details to use our two questions as Ryan is writing detailed pieces and needs them the most.
Ryan’s doing a great job from my POV.
I’m glad you have him helping.
Coughing delicately…her.
That makes more sense.
I really like her writing and I’m glad you have her!
If it makes more sense that Ryan is a woman why did you originally assume she was a man ?
The two question limit seems ridiculous to me. The fact that they then pick and choose which to answer even more so.
Absolutly infuriating! They should be answering every question submitted by the press! Kym, this is just as wrong as the Lockdown in my opinion. We are truely being taken for a ride!!!
The most shocking thing of all is that the wide array of responsible leaders in this country, including most governors, aren’t publicly and privately advocating that tRump be compelled to resign. No one else with any modicum of power in this country seems to think they have a right and a duty to demand a competent chief executive of the Federal government in this strange, but enormous, crisis.
Wasn’t the Twenty-Fifth Amendment written for circumstances like these?
Wow. Thanks, kym. I’d be metaphorically banging my head against a brick wall if I were a journalist right now.
Please change that 0 deaths to at least one confirmed death.
Om shala yoga
Arcata and surrounds will soon have untold death In local businesses .
But you all are more afraid of a virus that doesnt even exist
Say my name
Covid 19
Say my name
Rodney king
Omg take off the masks and fight this crap
Ps sheriff bonsall you are NOT protecting us you and dr frankie are killing this town I so loved
This shit is’nt peaking til December? WTF?
Better apply for one of those ebt cards
Watch Arcata dying,
thanks,
I second what you said.
“Sheriff bonsall you are not protecting us,
and dr Frankie you are killing us.”
Only 3 people have it out of 135 thousand people, that’s 0.0022%,
open the county.
0.0001% have actually died. Yep that’s right. Starting a irreversible economic depression. Millions will lose there homes.Millions will go hungry. Alcoholism, brokenhomes, drug abuse, the lists goes on n on. 30% of the US population is jobless. This is not salvation. This is control. We are the experiment.
Many more would have died without the social distancing/stay-at-home orders. And, gradual easing is scheduled to roll out. It’s already started in Humboldt County.
Cool. Next few days will be great. What’s up with easing? Open the economy and give us back our freedoms, all of them. That’s normalcies. I’ll see it when I believe it, i do have hope, but remember this virus is going nowhere. Thanks again kym for updates.
Maybe.
Generally, most experts believe that the sooner and more intense the social distancing occurred, the less deaths there are. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/14/opinion/covid-social-distancing.html
Well yes, that makes sense, the figures and cases don’t add up for me. I’m not advocating death. Study are showing that covid has been in the US alot longer than we thought. We can’t keep hiding from it. I don’t see “easing” , all I see is more orders, orders punishable by imprisonment. If things don’t open up, and quickly, I believe we will be looking at a serious advert situation. I’ve been doing my part BTW.
What was the presumed number of expected deaths by this date even with practicing social distancing ? Wasn’t it supposed to be millions ? Touted by the
“ experts”
https://twitter.com/ColumbiaSurgery/status/1241139303423623168/photo/1
No, the London study that in part influenced President Trump to push for more social distancing measures said that the US could reach 2.2 million deaths with no measures taken. And that was the one with the largest numbers. https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-uk-report-projects-2-million-deaths-without-action-2020-3 Those estimating with social distancing measures generally suggested 100,000 to 200,000 dead in the US but by April 4 with so many states having shut down so quickly and decisively (relatively speaking) Dr. Fauchi was suggesting we might “only” have 60,000 dead. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/04/fauci-coronavirus-projected-death-toll-is-dropping.html But we already have 52,000 dead in the US. I don’t think we’ll taper off quickly enough to stay any where near 60,000 especially with some states so eager to open back up.
Well, maybe it’s a double edged sword eh kym? Damed If you do, Damed if we don’t. Mother Nature has the reigns on this one. Hiding in fear only exasperates the problem since it’s pretty obvious this virus is not going anywhere. Vaccine? A year down the road, we as a society will be done for living in a lockdown situation till than. Open up the country and get back to normalcies?, 2 million dead. That’s still less than 1% of the population….. sometimes sacrifice is needed to better the whole. This is nature telling us something, we as a species need to stop ignoring the fact that we are the problem.
How about if we listen to people that study this?
We could slowly roll out making sure that the deaths stay within the capacity of our hospitals and supplies.
We could urge urge people who have underlying conditions (which is over half of the population by my estimation) to limit contact. And support their employers in keeping them in safe situations.
In fact, we could still urge all people even those who are apparently completely healthy to minimize contact as much as possible using masks, handwashing, and social distancing.
We continue to ramp up access to testing. We isolate those who test positive. And track those who have come into contact and quarantine them.
And we have a federal government that makes sure the hottest spots are getting the most tests, supplies, and medical personnel.
We get universal healthcare in place so the costs of hospitalization and medical treatments don’t bankrupt people.
Generous sickleave policies sound like they would be helpful, too
That sounds like a list of suggestions that would help to me.
Or we could just say hey tweekers, criminals, and people who light off fireworks in July on dry hillsides, I totally trust you to monitor yourselves and we’ll just go back to normal.
Greedy rich bosses will probably not stay in isolation while forcing health compromised workers back to jobs, and those workers probably won’t get sick in large numbers and land on an already shaky healthcare system, thus infecting first responders and medical workers and further crippling the medical system.
Thousands who would otherwise have lived productive lives probably won’t die, won’t produce the goods they would have produced, won’t impact supply lines when they die, and won’t cause economic damage when they die…
Dead, dying, and ill people impact the world in a number of ways that we haven’t learned to quantify. But we do know that improving health generally improves economic growth–people tend to produce more and be more innovative when they aren’t afraid, ill, or dead…
This study looks at the economic impacts on parents who lose a child. “For example, the chances of being out of work some years after the loss is up to 9% greater than if the child had not died” https://theconversation.com/how-to-calculate-the-economic-impact-of-grief-68936
Probably death of a spouse, a parent, a close friend, also has an economic impact on a family. And multiplied those also have impacts on society. Multiplied thousands of times…those deaths can have incredible economic impacts.
And as usual those economically struggling will least be prepared to deal with the loss of a parent’s income and will need to fall back on the state (ie the taxpayer) for resources.
So, I believe the steadiest course forward is to slowly opening up the economy while being prepared to roll back if illnesses start to overrun our healthcare system.
Well said, Kym. Thank you.
The food pyramid ought to have taught you about government experts. Or the government wild fire suppression rules? Monolithical Public housing? Prohibition? The War on Drugs? Gee whiz kid, experts indeed.
As a whole, experts have given us increased life spans, luxuries that kings 100 years ago could never have afforded or even conceived of. Got to bet? Go with the experts–the arc of time is on their side.
Good listmm but we could also promote healthy lifestyles…? Seems to be lost on everyone right now. Washing hands isnt healthy its good sense.
I agree that promoting healthy lifestyles (not just telling people what to do but providing scaffolding to help them eat better, exercise, and make other healthy choices) is an important part of protecting against illness.
Or not. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23155743
C’mon, Guest, you are intelligent and educated. Are you really saying that if you had cancer that you’d listen to Rush Limbaugh and not your cancer specialist? Particularly if 90% of cancer specialists were saying the same thing.
That doesn’t mean not to read and pay attention for yourself but, as a whole, I believe the statements you’ve made here indicate you are the kind of person to, on the whole, make evidence based decisions.
What part of ” I believe the steadiest course forward is to slowly opening up the economy while being prepared to roll back if illnesses start to overrun our healthcare system” is so terribly controversial?
Your comment brings to mind the now famous comment “Who needs stinkin’ facts?”
As evidenced by such posts as this.
Repoening the nation is now necessary to save lives!
https://thefederalist.com/2020/04/24/reopening-the-nation-is-now-necessary-to-save-lives/?fbclid=IwAR2_799fi_w5o5WNYuhP-JhYU8xndQL6Q5q553Kent6VzDoyTVpCLN3OCos
Everyone is hurting, but some of us have the maturity to not lash out in frustration like spoiled children, as well as the intelligence to understand that you cannot influence a virus! Opening too early will just lead to more cases, further economic shut down, and more damage overall.
Those intent on exercising their “rights”, which is apparently the right to get the rest of us sick and possibly kill us, should be identified and they and their families should be denied medical treatment if they come down with the virus.
Do our rights belong inside quotation marks?
I guess some people simply lack the maturity and intelligence of a sheep. Feel free to give up your own rights but please respect those of others. Enjoy your first ammendment right to bleat on.
You are off by a couple orders of magnitude, 0.01% and that is a bit off. But otherwise we are on the same page, the economic collapse will cause more death pain and homelessness than the virus ever will. Absolutely fucking stupid, so much so it can’t be an accident.
And many of the measures are unnecessary, even destructive. “Social distancing” has been conflated into “stay-at-home” and then “stay-at-home” turned into “everyone-keep-away-from-everything-indefinitely” which ends up being the glacial slowing of naturally acquired immunity and thus the need for more “stay-at-home” orders.
What is needed and will end up being done as soon as officials get over their power rush, is targeting areas of concern like hospitals, nursing homes, people with health issues, mass gatherings- places where the spread can have dire consequence. Then let everyone else get on with getting it and getting over it. It’s comforting to test everyone but not necessary because none of this is really surprising. Just make people nervous, which is not the same as needed.
The pretty much same number of deaths occur whether the delayed or not except for vulnerable populations, who will be better off if the virus becomes rarely encountered because most people have immunity. “Flattening the curve” would be better termed “deferring the deaths” because preventing them is an illusion. Except for those caused by the stresses created by extreme measures over time.
Chuck 350,000,000 x .0001% is 35,000. No I’m not to far off. If you take 8.3 billion times World deaths you still get .0001%. Are we on the same page?
You lied about not making any more Coronavirus comments. At least you’re consistent!
The need for testing has become politicized. Every scientist, epidemiologists, and infectious disease specialist is asking for more. Most every governor, red or blue, is asking for more. Their requests are simply to make the president look bad? Why do we continue to let our politicians question science?
Because anti-science beliefs have become predominant in this anti-intellectual administration. Trump seems to acquiesce to the scientists and medical professionals on camera, then backtracks to appease his dumb ass base.
Can I get an amen!
Science thrives on data. Or should. But even scientists make unethical and oblivious requests for it. As some point, it not going to improve the quality of the policy but simply satisfy the lust for it. And yes, lust is the right word because there is never enough. Or conversely, if it raises awkward questions, there’s too much.
Um, no. 350,000,000 times 0.0001% is 350. 350,000,000 times 0.0001 is 35,000. % adds 2 zeros. The correct death rate is 0.016%. Still, that is ridiculously small to commit economic suicide, the pain and suffering from this will be at least a decade. Again, I guestimate the death toll from the shutdowns will be 5-10% in the end, with a final virus death rate of under 0.05%, the economic shutdown will be 100x worse and that is just the death rate, the suffering on everyone will be unimaginable. There is absolutely no reason for this unless it is the plan. The shutdowns are ordered from global governance organizations and followed diligently by unelected technocrats in every nation who through emergency power have usurped control from elected officials. Put your thinking cap on.
Chuck,
I think your way too deep in conspiracy woo woo.
20,000 US deaths a week is not a staged event or anything to go to AlexJones-ville with.
The ramifications of doing nothing would most likely have been far worse for far longer (economically) than doing something.
I can understand that a freak accident happened and a lying gangster like tRump ended up in the White House. What I cannot understand is why so many people still support an unstable, delusional, unqualified, impossible to educate on how government works or why he should trust his intelligence sources, lying gangster like tRump?
They see the damage that he’s doing but they are complicit in this dangerous accidental President’s damage to this country and the world.
How many of those people who still support him and believe his lies are now drinking Clorox or injecting Lysol? The irony is that his lies are killing his own base.
So Kym , what a bunch of arrogant ……… ‘s they are. If they won’t even communicate with you , you can see how regular people must feel listening to them. How many news organizations are there ? We wouldnt want to overload them. You must have the patience of Job. Give them hell.
I don’t think that’s fair. They are trying to make life and death decisions for an entire county. It’s not surprising they are struggling to do everything. But I do feel like we need to have something more like each news organization gets a rotational turn for a twenty minute interview that supplements the regular press releases from the joint command center.
they are bumbling fools that aren’t really doing anything important at all
where are the rules for commentors?
Rules and regulations who needs them?
Throw them out the door!
Who can trust the numbers? Whistle blower says hospitals get paid more for “COVID” deaths.
“Dr. Scott Jensen says the American Medical Association is now “encouraging” doctors to overcount coronavirus deaths across the country.
Jensen received a 7-page document that showed him how to fill out a death certificate as a “COVID-19 diagnosis” even when there isn’t a lab test confirming the diagnosis.”
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.globalresearch.ca/hospitals-getting-paid-more-label-cause-death-coronavirus/5709720/amp?fbclid=IwAR3AcWZbAAREK4wlsQIF6_DoXwFxtGuPYznwz76bJ9qz8STH71V_-NcGDO4
There was one doctor who signed off on every death certificate of anyone who ever smoked cigarettes with a cause of death due to smoking simply because he felt that it needed to be said. A lot of people think a death certificate cause of death is guided by strict science. It’s not. Unless an autopsy is performed what is on the death certificate is one man’s opinion. Sometimes an informed opinion but sometimes not so much.
https://kymkemp.com/2018/05/20/commenting-rules-on-redheaded-blackbelt/
yo it says mocking people in a position of authority is acceptable
Yo, comments mocking people in authority are left up and yes, in general, I leave ones up that mock me.
Trump cut the briefing short today because it was time to own up. Like I said, Trump is a whack job, and no I am not being sarcastic. He’s losing it with or without the new muzzle. His briefings were doing him more harm than good. Not answering for his lies, same scenario.
Let’s all hope when we wake up tomorrow not only will it be the 25th,
it will be about the 25th.
The Republicans offer as a candidate for president, a man who is fully willing to burn down the nation he wants to be president of. He is backed by a Republican party that is fully willing to burn down the nation they have demonstrated they are unworthy of.
Why is tRump is not capable of admitting mistakes, which have grave consequences?
His daily briefings are lame and useless when the “President” seeks to magnify himself instead of giving facts and showing concern for Americans. tRump plays the media and the gullible and naive like a fiddle!
You all are a hoot. Blame Trump based on your own feelings without any need to look further.
??Its the 25th.???And I told you a new case would come on the 24th on the the 21st.?
I still like your posts, Willie. At least someone is polite around here!
Black market buyers are coming into the county from all over the country right now. Lets see how that safe isolation in Humboldt really works out.
If everyone wears a mask, businesses will be able to open sooner. This is not a conspiracy to take over or run us into debt. The same measures were used in 1918. Social distancing, masks and no large gatherings are the only thing that works to slow spread. And yes, if we only have a few people get sick this first round it’s more likely to have a lot more the second round….in the fall. And we are still waiting to see if immunity is even gained by having had the flu. And for how long. If we are lucky the virus will lose potency over time and have death rates more in line with annual flu. I am in the over 60 group. I am really grounded and will be for months to come, if not for the next year. So quit complaining and put your mask on.
It’s interesting that genetic analysis reveals that the primary source of Covid-19 in the United States was from Europe, not China.
I wonder if this fact will have any affect on tRump’s nasty appeal to his stupid, racist base.
Got a link?
He certainly rushed to strict travel from Europe when it joined the Asians in the pandemic. But of course that means nothing to those looking to attach racist to everything as a way of condemning by association.
I’ve been trying to find the death statistics in 1919 for this now famous comparison about affects of isolation between those two Amercan towns in 1918. It’s been too hard to tease out. But it could be that while slowing the flu deaths in 1918, the subsequently non immune people made the 1919 waves worse.
“The California health expert was asked whether everyone will eventually be infected with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, Cody said, “Yes, probably at some point.””

It is constantly repeated that lifting the proactive restrictions too soon was what lead to the most deadly wave of 1918 flu returning. But it could be equally likely that a mutated, more deadly strain was able to run through those who avoided exposure during the first wave and thus had no resistance to the mutated stain. These subsequent waves were not equally deadly around the world. Could it be that the hardest hit places in the first wave were less vulnerable in the following waves? It’s just an uncongenial idea that the people who like the idea of control rejection a huff. If they can trot out the idea it was a lack of keeping up the social distancing, they never address the fact that such strict protocols are impossible to keep up and maybe “Another possibility could be that some populations may have acquired a degree of immunity against the pandemic strain from comparatively harmless seasonal flu strains that were circulating in the years running up to 1918.”
The BBC article is the only one I’ve been able to find that even looks at the issue. Everything else, especially among the American media, simply pretends the question doesn’t exist.
“The first places open for regular business should be government buildings and offices. Starting in DC.
If the White House isn’t doing public tours then the rest of the country is not ready to open.
If your state’s capital building is not open to the public then the rest of your state is not ready to open.
If your governor is not out shaking hands and kissing babies then it’s too soon for the rest of us.
If your city’s court house and mayor’s office aren’t open for regular business then your city is not ready.
If the governing body and lawmakers aren’t ready to take those risks then what does that tell you?”
People who get paid with others’ money no matter what are just freer to play safe. At least until the tax money dries up. Now there is luxury.
Dinha,
It tells me it’s not just about the virus it’s also about politics.
Gov. Newsom is doing great, He’s getting the publicity he wants for free on CH. 2 noon news and the people mostly like what he’s doing and what he has to say.
It’s good for his future run for POTUS.
Pelosi has made a ass of herself so she can mostly stay in the safe SF bay area and scheme with Adam and Schummer on impeachment 4.0
Huffman, Huffman who?
And by all means keep Joe out of public view for as long as possible!
Media can keep ratings up by bashing Trump everyone’s favorite punching bag, while scaring the public into submission.
For the republicans it shows how pathetically the people in power have been running the country, where priorities have been instead of where they should have been and hopefully how to get out of this mess we are in with our constitution intact.
It’ a tall order to accomplish.
Meanwhile the Government officials for the most part get a LONG paid vacation.
The first responders, grocery clerks, truck drivers, postal workers and food producers get to be the hero’s and rightly so because they take the risks. Thank you!
just a few examples.
Now there is a post designed to attract attack from the TDS afflicted people. They are sure that not being as rabid as they are in hating Trump means safety in the most scurrilous attacks on posters. It’s not even necessary to say you approve of Trump- just that you don’t scream invective at the mere mention of his name is enough to relieve them of all responsibility for their hyperbolic invective.
Lets say for a minute we are past this crisis. What about the next one?
What if there was a EMP attack? Whats being done to harden the grid? Are the supplies to fix the grid made in China or the USA? Are they stored where we can get to them?
What if we have a couple more bad farming years? How much food storage does the USA have? How quickly can it be distributed? The meat plants are already shut down AND owned by China in this pandemic. You don’t have to hate China or Chinese people to be smart enough to control your own food production.
Look around your house folks , what do you have that’s not made in China? They are good people with a horrific government wake up! They own your movie theaters and Hollywood.
Everything right down to the plumbing in your bathroom is made in China.
Who has been working on these kind of issues? Do you care?
I know it’s not as much fun as wearing pussy hats and bashing the POTUS but they are important to me.
You don’t have to give me an answer but at least think about it.
Now I ask you who wants to bring manufacturing back to America?
It couldn’t be POTUS could it?
How much trouble could we be in if we don’t?
Sorry I don’t care how ass backwards his speech might be to some people, but I do care if medications are made in America.
I also care when TDS ers bash Trump without a thought about larger issues. But the China bought Hollywood & Media has taught them to do that. Thanks Alex Baldwin even Bill Maher is starting to wake up, just a little bit.
Come on people your children have more to be concerned about than this one virus.
