Gore Ranch Vegetation Management Project Starts Tomorrow

CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit/Shasta County Fire Department personnel will be conducting a prescribed burning operation in Shasta County as part of ongoing efforts to reduce wildfire risk, improve rangeland conditions, and provide valuable

training opportunities for firefighters.

Gore Ranch Vegetation Management Project (VMP)

Date: Monday, June 22, 2026, through June 28, 2026 Location: Gore Ranch, south of Texas Springs Rd. Acres: Approximately 280 acres

Burning operations will be conducted only when weather and fuel conditions meet strict prescription parameters that allow for safe and effective implementation. Smoke will be visible during and after burning operations. Please use caution when traveling through the area. Fire personnel and equipment will be operating in the vicinity.
