Rio Dell Community Garden Celebrates Grand Reopening During Wildwood Days Weekend

Community members, families, volunteers, donors/sponsors and local leaders are invited to celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly remodeled Rio Dell Community Garden on Saturday, August 1, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The celebration will take place during Rio Dell’s annual Wildwood Days festivities, a long-standing community tradition that brings residents and visitors together for a weekend of family-friendly events and activities. Wildwood Days has been a Rio Dell tradition since 1970 and continues to showcase the community spirit that makes the city unique.

The Community Garden remodel represents a collaborative effort to create an expansion of food access in a rural underserved area where residents can grow fresh food, learn sustainable gardening practices, and strengthen neighborhood connections. The revitalized garden features in ground and above ground beds, trellis’, berry structure, an expanded orchard and more.

The Grand Opening celebration will include:
