Arcata Burglary Suspect Arrested
This is a press release from the Arcata Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty:
On March 26th, 2026, at about 10:22 AM the Arcata Police Department investigated a commercial burglary at a business located in the 1400 block of M Street in Arcata.
Arcata Police Department Detectives identified one of the suspects as 41-year-old Samoa resident John Edward Knight Jr.
On April 29th, 2026, at about 7:00 AM the Arcata Police Department with the assistance of the Humboldt County Sherrif’s Office POP Team served a search warrant at a residence on Samoa Coast Ln in Samoa, where John Edward Knight Jr was taken into custody without incident.
Knight was booked and lodged into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for P459, PC 30305, PC 22810, PC 21810, and PC 532.
