EXIT Theatre Announces Cast and Crew of the 2026 Short Play Festival

EXIT Theatre’s fourth annual Short Play Festival will provide opportunities for 12 local directors, 36 roles for local actors, and 7 local production staff. The festival will present original plays from 12 national and local playwrights from June 18 to June 27, 2026. Curtain times are 7p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 4p.m. and 7p.m. Saturdays.

The Short Play Festival will present two weeks of the short plays with six plays presented each week.

Plays presented during week one, from June 18 to June 20, will be:

“Dentist Noir” by Brian C. Petti, directed by Tish Sloan, featuring Savanna Padilla and Sam Greenspan; “The Return of the Giant Moth” by Larry Bliss, directed by Janine Redwine, featuring Doranna Benker Gilkey, and Scott “Q” Marcus; “37 Origami Bees” by John Busser, directed by Wendy Butler, featuring Kimberly Haile, Victor Howard and Wendy Butler; “Time Table” by Jeff Perlman, directed by Mychal Evenson, featuring Bryce Campos, Juliana Legault, Dominic Trezza, Heather Petersteiner, and Marc Gabriel; “A Vampires Reflection” by Kyle Walker, directed by Scott “Q” Marcus, featuring Janine Redwine and Moss Nipkau; and “The Love Meter” by Briggs Hatton, directed by Daniel Marcus, featuring Liz Whittemore, Kathlina Eayre, and Jeremy Stolp.

Plays presented during week two, from June 25 to June 27, will be:

“Bunnies” by Greg Atkins, directed by Mitch Finn, featuring Larry Crist and Moss Nipkau; “Speed Play” by Alex Dremann, directed by Merrick Yra, featuring Andrew Miller and Dominica Savant-Bunch; “One Small Step” by Nina Ki, directed by Liz Whittemore, featuring Jaye Templeton, Alannah Guevara and Bella Rose Euan; “Peripeteia” written and directed by Marc Gabriel, featuring Amadeus Garcia Brown, Sally L’Herogan, Kyra Newell and Juliana LeGault; “Real Housewives of the Apocalypse or Honeybun’s Guide to the End of the World” by Jeanne Beckwith, directed by Daniel Baer, featuring Christina Augello, Kimberly Haile and Ruthi Engelke: “Cue” by Kate Danley, directed by Jaye Templeton, featuring Madison Glee, Mark Middleton and Nick Hendrix.

The crew for the Short Play Festival consists of Christina Augello, artistic producing director; Jordan Dobbins, technical director; Tasheena Evenson, stage manager; Mychal Evenson, board operator; Daniel Marcus, assistant technical director; Maggie Vlahovic, videographer; Richard Livingston, webmaster.
