The Freeze Warning covers interior valleys across Trinity, Lake, Humboldt, Del Norte, and northern and southeastern Mendocino counties. While the warning calls for lows as low as 28 degrees, point forecasts for individual communities show it could get significantly colder in spots. Trinity Center is expected to hit 25 degrees, Hayfork and Ruth 22, Weaverville 27, Covelo 25, Willow Creek 31, Laytonville and Willits 30, Alderpoint 32, and Garberville 33.

Low temperature chart issued by NWS on Monday, April 13. Check the National Weather Service for the latest forecast for your area.
Coastal and lower-elevation communities will see milder but still cold conditions under a Frost Advisory. Eureka and Fortuna are both forecast to drop to 38 degrees, with Ukiah at 35.
The NWS warns that frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and may damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. With the growing season underway, forecasters are urging residents to cover sensitive plants now, wrap or drain exposed pipes, and bring pets inside.
The cold follows a rain event moving through the region today. Colder, drier air pushing in behind the departing front is driving the temperature drop, with snow levels falling to around 1,500 feet in Trinity County and 2,000 feet in Humboldt County, though little accumulation is expected since most precipitation will have ended by then.
Near-freezing temperatures are expected to return Friday morning as well. Another storm system is expected to arrive over the weekend, with rain possible Saturday evening through Monday.

Started a fire in the wood stove around 3 pm. Brrr…
Good news is although nights will be cold there should be Sunny Days ahead until the weekend.

I thought about reusing it, but it gave me fall vibes. Since I’m petrified all of my newly sprung spring flowers are going to take a hit if it really gets to freezing here in SoHum, the frozen flower encapsulated that feeling for me.
May the odds ever be in our favor.
perfect choice!
now you’ve mentioned it you must show us photos of your spring flowers. 🙂
Listen up. Roads will be icy. Slow down, please.
