[UPDATE 8:25 p.m.U.S. 199 Fully Closed Near Patrick Creek Due to Slide
U.S. Highway 199 is fully closed in both directions this evening near Patrick Creek Road in Del Norte County due to a slide, according to Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol.
The closure extends between mile markers 22.10 and 23.20, north of Gasquet, according to Caltrans QuickMap. Caltrans reported the slide at 8:10 p.m. and said crews are working to clear the roadway. The estimated time for reopening is around 10 p.m.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and check Caltrans QuickMap at quickmap.dot.ca.gov or use the QuickMap app for the latest updates on highway conditions and closures.
