Two Arrested After Attempting Multiple Robberies; Deputies Find Weapons, Handcuffs, Zipties, SWAT Type Vests and Uniforms

Yesterday, two people were arrested for attempting to break into several permitted cannabis grows in the Ettersburg area. According to a victim, the suspects carried items consistent with those needed for a home invasion while posing as law enforcement. He said they had: Multiple articles of clothing that said “sheriff”, vests that said “SWAT”, Zipties, handcuffs, bolt cutters, a chainsaw, and an item that looked like an AR15 style rifle but may have been an airsoft gun.

“Someone called me at 12:16 p.m.,” the victim told us. “Someone has a U-Haul backed up to your gate and they were trying to rip that gate open.”

Because this was a security gate, the suspects were unable to break in at this permitted cannabis grow.

“They went to the next driveway [which was just another access point to a different part of the first property] and cut a chain that went across the road,” the victim told us. “They got up on that property but there was nothing there.”

“I called my neighbors,” the victim said. “Before they came to my place they went to his. They were trying to take out his gate.” But again were unsuccessful.

By this time neighbors had identified that besides the U-Haul there was also a red pickup that was connected to the attempts to break in. Members of the community, including the victim who spoke to us above, drove around looking for the suspects.

Meanwhile, a third victim contacted law enforcement and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to look for the suspects.

Eventually, the victim located the U-Haul on the Kings Range Road. “We turned around and followed them,” he told us. “They must have seen us turn around They tried to get away their brakes were smoking. We called 911.”

A Sheriff’s deputy joined the chase. “They turned on their lights and sirens, but [the U-Haul] didn’t pull over.”

After about a mile, the victim estimated, the U-Haul pulled over.

“The passenger started to jump out,” the victim said. “Both deputies were right on it with their guns drawn. They had the suspects raise their hands and walk backwards towards them.

The suspects were a man and a woman.

While this was going on, a red pickup came up behind and flipped around, speeding off in the other direction. They were able to flee and were eventually believed to have been seen around 3:30 p.m. at the Petrolia Store. One report says there were two men and one woman in that vehicle. However, it hasn’t been confirmed that these were connected.

The victim said the Sheriff’s Department was very efficient and he was grateful they were able to catch the suspects in the U-Haul. “They had all that gear,” he said worriedly. “They had all that stuff to home invade people.”

Will do, keep defending a liberal system that cites and releases clear and present threats to the community while making the community members have to take actions into their own hands, aka Wade Harris, because your liberal inept government is completely and utterly worthless. I can only just hope that one day you get to experience the fruits of your labor and it’s your house they come to, because nothing would make me smile more than that.

Wade was released, ON BAIL, several times. NO, liberal law, days you can break the law on bail. Those are Republican Judges, purposely letting the worst ones out and putting good ones in. Its all political.

It was a “mostly peaceful” robbery. No one even got shot! I hope they give these upstanding citizens a “safe space” in the old county motel.

No room at the inn. These folks were cited and released. They have probably already stolen a vehicle and gotten back to “work “.

What? Social workers generally travel alone, but what exactly would a social worker do on scene here?

It’s to make fun of groups like blm and anqueefa as they say most police interactions are mental health issues or some stupid shit essentially saying social workers should be the police

Defund the bums. Defund the tweekers. When I was young I did not have respect for law enforcement but looking at the type of people that they put their lives on the line for everyday it has drastically changed my perspective.

Thank you Mike, I was thinking the same thing. Legalization means no more crime, that’s what we were told, right?

Well, you could always grow Walnuts! Grapes! Alfalfa! Rice!

Nobody said it would be easy, or safe, being a drug dealer, drug producer, a millionaire plutocrat pot farmer…

Pretty soon, everywhere will be waist deep in cheap but great indica flower. Thanks for improving the product, the marketplace, the tax base, and, the public good?

Drugs bring more drugs, crime and more crime, and, money, in large quantities, takes on a personality of it’s own…

You can make lots of money, but it won’t guarantee your happiness, or your safety…

My advice, drug dealers, is get some security staff, and pay them well, lest they turn on you too. You might also grow your drugs in a safer area!

It’s not too late to become a pensioned public employee…

Shocking and very scary. When law enforcement does their job, no one is critical. When they kill mentally ill or otherwise unarmed people WE WILL CONTINUE TO SAY:
DEFUND THE POLICE.
Hopefully the more intelligent among us can discern the difference.

Cite and release!?!? I understand covid and not wanting it in the jail, but you really have to kill someone to spend a night in the slammer. Shoot em in the leg next time they mess with a gate that they dont belong at. Defund the police!!. All they did was relocate them closer to home and take their costumes.

Where did you see her name?…and what is it? &The other dude? Might make it easy to find the red truck. Think they brought enough gas money to get home empty handed? The first person to see a “SWAT” jacket probably started laughing! The last time any SWAT team was out here was looking for Aaron Bassler 10 years ago. It was notable how ill prepared they were for a non urban deployment.

Nobody is simply being cited and released. They’re being cited and surveilled. Criminal networks are easily being identified and dismantled. There’s a purge going on, heavy tech is at the forefront. It’s not a good time to be a criminal. Their futures are bleak.
