Earthquake ShakeTrailer Will Be at the Redwood Acres Fair June 18th

This is a press release from the Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group:

The Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services will host interactive booths at the Redwood Acres Fair from June 18th to 21st. A primary goal of our work group is to bring earthquake and tsunami preparedness materials and experiences to the North Coast.  An exciting addition to our community outreach this year is the ShakeTrailer hosted by CalOES! The ShakeTrailer allows visitors to experience an earthquake simulation.

The ShakeTrailer will be open from 2-7 pm Thursday through Saturday and 1-6 pm on Sunday. Additionally, our booth at the Redwood Acres Fair will be open during all hours of the fair and will include our newest editions of Living on Shaky Ground in both English and Spanish as well as include games to test your earthquake safety knowledge and identify if you’re in a tsunami zone. Remember, any day is a good opportunity to practice your earthquake AND tsunami safety plan! Come join us at the Redwood Acres Fair June 18th through the 21st!
