Peter A. Jones passed on 5/23/2026, at his home peacefully. He has no direct descendants that survive him, but many cousins and close friends who will miss him immensely. Born in Chicago, Peter migrated to the Eureka/Arcata area in his twenties. Peter had many accomplishments in his life, as a mentor, as an accomplished pianist and organist in his teenage years, USPS union representative, as a chief petty officer in the Navy, and achieving an AA degree from Humboldt State University. At the time of his death he was retired. He had a big heart and donated generously to charities.

His memorial is planned for 2:00 on 6/17/26 at St Alban’s Church in Arcata. In lieu of flowers, Peter would like donations made to KEET TV.
