Del Norte County: South Fork Road near Boulder Creek remains closed at approximately Milepost 8.0 due to a rock slide. Because of the size of the boulders, the County has various Contractors assisting with rock removal. The County and Contractors continue rock removal operations and anticipate road reopening by Tuesday 6/23/26.

For public safety and the safety of our contractors and employees, please stay away from the work area. Do not pass by road closed signs.

Motorists should continue to use Big Flat Road and French Hill Road as an alternate route to access Highway 199.

The County appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this closure and will continue to provide updates until South Fork Road is reopened.
