Those damn things are so dangerous.
I would never let my kids on one.

I know a grown woman, a senior, who hurt herself not long ago when one flipped over on her.
Very dangerous.

Sport quads are alot safer. 4wd quads weigh twice as much, then people tend to go up stuff to steep, they will climb until they tip over backwards. Also short little wheel base on pavement. They probably swerved and rolled.

Yes, they are very dangerous even when you ride them correctly. The worst are the old model three wheelers that tip over so easy or flip over backwards. Other than a helmet and some flimsy riding gear you have no protection to speak of when you roll over. The three wheelers I believe are no longer produced for that very reason. They do make little, tiny four wheelers for kids. Some have throttle controls so you can adjust the speed the four- wheeler will travel with a wide-open throttle. Battery powered ones go really slow from what I have read.
