An older man and a younger one on motorcycles

David Robert Fontaine
July 28. 1962 – November 20, 2025

David Robert Fontaine, 63, passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2025 in Humboldt County, surrounded by the love of his life and his children.David lived a life full of passion, grit, and devotion. He loved motorcycles—riding them, building them, and fixing anything with an engine. Baseball was in his blood, and he was a die-hard Dodgers fan who never missed a game; every Thanksgiving, their game was guaranteed to be playing on the TV. He loved watching wrestling, blasting metal music as loud as he possibly could in the car, and showing the world his tough exterior—yet those who truly knew him saw the soft heart underneath, especially when it came to his family and the people he loved.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Kayleen Fontaine and his children—Heather, Hillary, Beth, Jessica, Harley, Ryan, Seth, Taylor, Levi, Jack, Dakota, Julianna, BellaDonna, Caroline, and Leonidas—each one his pride, joy, and greatest accomplishment. He is now with his other daughter in heaven. And His legacy continues through the grandchildren they blessed him with and who he adored deeply.

David finally settled down with the love of his life, Kayleen, in 2016. Three years later, on June 22nd, 2019, he married her with his children standing proudly beside him. For David—and for everyone who loved him—this was a cherished moment, the day he found the partner he had always deserved.

David fought cancer and countless health battles with the same strength and stubbornness that defined him. Pain was something he knew far too well, and this last year was especially difficult. When doctors said he had days or weeks, he fought for months. That was who he was—resilient, loving, and determined. Now he is finally free from the pain that weighed on him for so long, and that truth brings comfort to those he leaves behind.

David believed with his whole heart that he would go to heaven, and his family holds peace knowing he is there now. Holidays, birthdays, and Father’s Days will never be the same without him, and the days ahead will be heavy—but his children and grandchildren will carry him with them through every season, trusting that he is watching over them.

In his final days, David was cared for lovingly by his son Dakota, daughter-in-law Carina, and his wife. They ensured he was never alone, and the family is deeply grateful for their devotion during those final, tender moments.

David Robert Fontaine lived fiercely, loved deeply, and leaves behind a family who will remember him always.

His other daughter in heaven her name is Jalina layne Fontaine. And I’m not even going to comment on the four people I don’t recognize as my siblings.

Those four you don’t recognize have been his children for 10 years & to not recognize them as such would’ve been hurtful when he married Kayleen he became a step father to those four children.
