Missing Woman Reported Near Reggae on the River Located Safe in Willits

mendocino missing person investigation featureA woman previously reported missing and last seen near the Reggae on the River festival has been safely located, Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall confirmed in response to a request for information.

Concerns intensified over the weekend after reports surfaced that a woman had been reported missing out of Mendocino County and was last seen near the festival grounds, located near the Humboldt–Mendocino County line. Those concerns were heightened after a body was found in the South Fork of the Eel River on August 2, just 1.4 miles south of the event site. However, authorities quickly determined that the deceased individual was not the missing woman, and the two incidents were unrelated.

Sheriff Kendall stated Monday morning that although there was indication the missing woman had intended to attend the festival, it is unclear whether she ever entered the venue. According to Kendall, Mendocino County deputies located the missing woman’s vehicle in Willits during the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3. Deputies made contact with the woman at that time, and she confirmed that she was safe and did not require assistance.

She has since been removed from the missing persons list.

Have you no empathy? Were these your thoughts BEFORE she was found? Glad to hear you have placed such a low value on life.

I think the possibility of a missing woman is not a lot of hoo ha for squat diddly. Women go missing all the time, this is a rare time that she was found safe, thank god.

Diddly squat https://digitalcultures.net/slang/diddly-squat/

The term “diddly-squat” is a euphemistic alteration for the original term “doodley-squat” dating from 1930.

Doodley comes from the US slang “doodle” meaning “excrement”.

The original phrase was probably based on the observation of someone squatting while doodling outdoors.

Interesting both you and Farce reversed the term — I don’t remember it that way; had to look it up…
