A driver crashed into a building on Sprowl Creek Road near Garberville on Monday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries, according to a report from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident occurred behind Garberville Pharmacy, just off U.S. Highway 101.

The collision, involving a green Honda HR-V, was first reported to the CHP at 4:53 p.m. Initial reports indicated that the driver, described only as an adult woman, ran the vehicle into the structure. Emergency personnel responded, and Redwood Towing was notified shortly after 5:00 p.m. to remove the vehicle from the scene.

A bystander at the scene indicated that the car may have become lodged on a parking block. While attempting to dislodge the car, the driver accidentally accelerated forward, into the corner of the building.  A CHP officer on scene was accessing the damage to the building with SoHum Health personnel after interviewing the driver of the vehicle.

That’s because many older people that may not have handicap cards, can not walk that hill down to the pharmacy.

I am just glad the lady and building both survived that very minor impact. I hope the lady did not have a medical emergency that caused the accident and will be fine.
