[UPDATE 6:02 p.m.: Nothing Found] Fire Reported in Salmon Creek Area–Unable to Locate So Far

Map from Flight Radar shows the air attack and Tanker 96 overhead.

Map from Flight Radar shows the air attack and Tanker 96 overhead.

About 5:30 p.m., multiple fire departments as well as dozers, tankers, etc were dispatched to the Salmon Creek area west of Miranda near where the Bumper Factory used to be by the beginning of Thomas Road for the report of a fire.

However, by 5:45 p.m., an air attack is overhead and does not see any smoke. Most resources are being asked to wait at the Miranda exit while the air attack and an engine look for the fire.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

UPDATE 5:53 p.m.: Tanker 96 and 95 are being released back to Rhonerville and Redding Airports respectively.

UPDATE 6:02 p.m.: All the aircraft have been released as a search didn’t find a fire.
