{UPDATE: Good news!] Mother of Missing Man Seeks Help Looking for her Son

Polly Taunton, a traveling nurse, is on a mission to find her missing son, Jack Taunton-Scott, who was last seen in San Rafael, California. He was planning to hitchhike up Highway 101. Polly is traveling down Highway 101 from Eureka, putting up flyers and pleading for assistance in locating Jack.
After his phone and wallet were stolen in San Francisco, Jack informed his mother that he planned to hitchhike north starting Monday, July 29. Jack called Polly from another person’s cell phone while in San Rafael, but since then, she has not heard from him. He was last known to be carrying a green military backpack.
The man who lent Jack his phone mentioned that they spent some time together. Polly shared, “I called the man whose phone he used, and he said they hung out and had laughs…and that he directed my son to a park that would be safe. Jack said he hoped to see him tomorrow, but he did not see him again.”
Polly stated she has “Reason to believe he’s in danger. Please help me find my son.”

I could have swore I just seen him walking south on 101 by the redwood drive exit near redway 7:30 am. Pushing a bike wearing a blue flannel. I looked for tattoo on neck but couldn’t see it. Looked like guy in photo tho. Good luck ??

why would you call the EPD if he’s in Redway?

Would be better to call the HCSO and have a deputy search the area, along with the CHP. The CHP covers a lot of miles each day. Polly, I pray your son will be found safe and returned home to you. People, please keep an eye out for Jack. I would not approach him but would call the local law enforcement and give them is exact location. Keep an eye on him until the law arrives. If he is scared and you approach him, he may run off.

Will definitely keep an eye out… sure hope he’s found and safe. It’s too bad they couldn’t have included what that tattoo on his neck says. Might be something to help identify if he was seen.
The tattoo might say Polly, his moms name. It looks like it ends in an lly with a heart on the y.
