A high-speed pursuit on Saturday, February 3, led to an arrest the next day after diligent police work by Rio Dell Police Department’s, Officer Landry.

On Saturday, Officer Landry pursued a black, 4-door BMW southbound on Highway 101. The BMW reached speeds over 100 mph. However, Officer Landry terminated the pursuit after she had lost sight of the suspect vehicle.

Following a hunch, Landry doubled back searching Scotia for the black BMW. Receiving intel of a possible location, Landry continued her search, identifying a residence on Webb Lane in Rio Dell as a possible known location of the suspected driver of the suspect vehicle.

Officer Landry was unable to locate the suspect.

Following up on Sunday morning, Landry served a search warrant on the Webb Lane residence. Allied law enforcement aided in the search. Ultimately, David Adams was located at a Rigby Avenue apartment where he was hiding in the bathroom prior to his arrest.

Rio Dell Police Chief, Greg Allen confirmed the incident and subsequent arrest during a phone interview with Redheaded Blackbelt.

Chief Allen said that Adams was booked on charges of evading a police officer, various traffic offenses, a probation warrant, and a stolen vehicle. (The stolen vehicle charge was from a previous incident, according to the RDPD Chief.)

Maybe now he’ll have a toilet right next to his rack. We don’t have enough traffic fatalities in a major storm cycle already? Pitch the book at him like Sandy Koufax.

Choosing to commune with a commode says all one really needs to know about Mr. Adams. Klassy. In today’s America, he is probably fortunate not to have been shot by law enforcement.

i know the pain, they have to do it themselves though, if they don’t, it’s sad, but guilt and remorse are different. blaming isn’t going to help.

It’s not up to probation to hold his hand. He has to want to do what is right for him and his family. I know what it’s like to loose a loved one. I know what it’s like to sit and watch a brother mourn a loss of a sister I also know Jesus is the only way through it. My son made beauty out of ashes after the loss of his sister. So it can be done. Your son and your self need to heal. If you heal and show him it can be done I bet he will follow. Start with forgiveness and repentance. Find a good Christian counselor and go from there. But stop enabling your son with excuses. It’s time he takes the blows he needs so he can heal himself. It’s hard to sit back and do but pray and pray some more.

Don’t make excuses, tons of people experience that and don’t do dope and rob and endanger other people, he’s just a sucky person and that’s all there is to it. You aren’t any better. I lost my livelihood because your son can’t control himself. F your alligator tears.

The prisons used to be full of Mothers Sons. Now they are let loose to cause more theft, rape and murder.

Jails and prisons are still full.
The California jail population has increased 180% since 1970.
The prison population has increased 225% since 1983.

Prison, by itself, does not work.

And yet you argue against the death penalty for the most violent murderers, torturers…even child killers. Then you say there is no room in prison so we must let out criminals to commit more crimes. I guess your solution is to hug them all and hope for the best? It doesn’t work that way. Your illogic is destroying our civility and our neighborhood safety…It is Misplaced Compassion

If you all only know…this is law enforcements failure to the family, and the offender. He was LET go by RDPD numerous times while having a felony warrant and on parole. Hold your law enforcement accountable.

He is one of too many of our young like these nowadays. Parents everywhere are struggling with uncontrollable kids that lack real life skills. It’s a very scary place to be as a parent. He has to want the help to be a contibuting citizen of society. I agree probabtion can often help but it’s a partnership.
