As part of the process, deputies conducted an inventory search of the vehicle and noticed signs of an aftermarket false compartment. Suspecting the hidden space might contain contraband, the Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from a drug-detection canine.

A K-9 team from the Mount Shasta Police Department responded to the scene. The dog alerted to the presence of narcotics, giving deputies further reason to investigate what appeared to be the vehicle’s extra storage feature.

After breaching the compartment, deputies discovered 18 kilograms of suspected cocaine concealed inside. Authorities estimated the value of the drugs at approximately $1.9 million.

Well…it always bugged me also back in the CAMP days but…They can choose wholesale price or street price broken down. Street value being a much bigger number of course that’s what they do. It makes sense from their point of view. Budget requests being a constant factor….

I think it is. Adair value they attached to the drug load they hauled in. I wonder which cartel these idiots were smuggling for, that is a large operation , far too large to not be cartel operation. Interesting they haven’t released the name or nationality of the smuggler, hopefully they will get to squeeze out the name of who they were hauling the kilos of coke for and god willing arrest the investors higher up in the organization.
Time for some good ole Nor Cal Interrogation! Squeeze em till they squeel! Tell them they are going away for possible life and write down the names they squeel!

Haha, it is more likely they would be released on their OR, neither to be seen nor heard from again.

The bust happened on April 14th. It was not publicized until May 29th. It was on Interstate 5 heading north. Drivers name not released. No booking log of his arrest in Siskiyou County records….https://www.actionnewsnow.com/news/california-highway-patrol-arrests-man-after-44-pounds-of-suspected-cocaine-located-during-traffic-stop/article_737c1766-f3e3-48ea-a610-1cd6891fcc16.html

Usually means the feds are taking over the investigation and smuggler, Good News, they will pursue every avenue and go up the chain, we need more federal enforcement around this area! 😉 Local police have been virtually stripped by activist politicians and judges of their ability to enforce the laws!
That is why Steve Hilton will be out next Governor! People are fed up and enough is enough! A death sentence would be perfect for hard drug smugglers and dealers like this; If you know something about operations like this, call the FBI not your local police department!

Now the law enforcement officers can retrieve the flock information on this vehicle and see exactly timestamped information of where this car has been, what dates and times it passes where as well as build a case which can show this is not the first rodeo by looking for a trafficking pattern. This is good news, all those bad drugs off the street and the dealers hopefully locked away by the feds out of reach of the local activist crime loving judges.

If only we had flock cameras on EVERY street in America! With same-time connections to ICE, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security and every state and local police department…What a wonderfully SAFE homeland we could have!!!
