Son Recently Out of Jail on Molestation Charges Questioned by EPD Regarding Missing Mother’s Whereabouts

AKA cLOVER CHRISTINE RANDOLPHThe search continues for missing woman, Christine Anne Randolph, who was last known to be with her son, who is currently being held at the Mendocino County Jail.

Randolph, who goes by “Clover,” was said to be traveling from Eureka to Laytonville with her son, Root Harvest Birimisa. According to the Mendocino County booking log, Birimisa was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on October 8 at 5:50 p.m. Clover’s last contact with family was earlier that day.

CHP Public Information Officer, Jon Clevenger, stated, “…[O]n Sunday shortly before 3pm CHP officers were dispatched to a hit and run traffic collision at Brooktrails, off of Sherwood Road. After officers arrived on the scene, one male driver was located near the vehicle. They were placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and they were booked in a county jail for driving under the influence and hit and run of a motor vehicle on the streets of Sherwood Road.”

Birimisa is being held at the Mendocino County Jail with a bail of $37,500.

Officer Clevenger stated that no other occupant of the vehicle was witnessed when officers arrived at the scene.

Redheaded Blackbelt spoke with the Eureka Police Department’s Assistant Police Chief, Brian Stephens, on October 10, who stated that officers were en route to Mendocino County Jail to speak with Birimisa about his mother’s whereabouts.

This is not Birimisa’s first run-in with the law. The now 26-year-old was arrested for DUI on October 9, 2019, by the Garberville CHP, and faced more serious charges weeks before his mother’s disappearance.

Birimisa was arrested by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office on September 19, 2023, for three felony offenses. On John Chiv’s site he states, “26 year old Harvest Birmisa was arrested by HCSO yesterday for PC 288.3(a) contacting a minor to commit a sex crime or felony, PC 647.6(b) annoying or molesting a child, PC 459/461(a) burglary. Bail is $55,000.”

On September 25, Chiv reported that the Humboldt County DA charged Birimisa with “lewd act on a child, assault with intent to commit rape, sodomy, oral copulation and two special allegations for sex offenses.” He stated that at the arraignment, Birimisa’s bail was increased to $75,000.

Though District Attorney, Stacey Eads, said that the above charges against Birimisa have not been dropped, he was out of jail at the time of his DUI/Hit and Run arrest in Mendocino County on October 8. According to the Humboldt County Jail reports, Birimisa was in custody on October 6, 2023, he is not listed on any release reports the following day, nor do we know if he posted bail or if he was released on his own recognizance.

It is unclear if Birimisa’s current trouble with the law has anything to do with his mother’s sudden disappearance. Please remember, arrests and charges are not convictions. Individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The Eureka Police Department is urging the public to come forward with any information that might shed light on Christine “Clover” Randolph’s whereabouts. Sergeant Crnich, of the Eureka Police Department Investigations Unit, can be reached at (707) 441-4318.

That is the problem with many of these criminals, their mommy bails them out all their lives. I once scene an actual video of Pablo Escobar’s mother talking about what a good boy he was they should not have killed him etc. Ladies, you are not doing your kids any favors by bailing them out of trouble. You need to look at the reality of how your kid is, no matter the age, and hold them accountable.

It’s not just Mom’s. Dads do it also. Most times it’s because one of the parents feel bad due to a divorce death of a parent etc. It doesn’t make it right by any means.

They would most likely not be criminals had their mothers been real mother to them in the first place . Sexual abusers almost always were abused as a child . Who names their child root harvest anyways

Sounds like this guy needs to be in prison regardless of where his mom is!
I hope she’s ok.

Kym, according to the Humboldt jail, Birimisa posted bond yesterday. That may not show up in today’s Humbokdt release report. I too checked the Mendocino log and have contacted Samantha at HCSO. This morning, the Humboldt DA filed a motion to reconsider/increase bail. I am checking something and will keep you posted.

I drove past this wreck right after it had happened. I was heading to town. He was on the left side of Sherwood, walking towards his car, which was on the right side of the road, just off the edge, and a woman was standing next to the open passenger door, of his car. She had darkish hair. Sherwood is a windy road with a fairly fast speed limit for its conditions, so I could not spend a lot of time trying to focus on what the man was doing, but he seemed to be holding something in front of his face as he walked , his back was to me.
At first I didn’t realize it was a wreck, as his car just seemed to be pulled over and like I said I couldn’t rubber neck because I was driving. Then as I rounded a deep curve, I saw another car pulled over in driveway, on the right side of Sherwood, an elderly woman with silver/ gray hair was standing next to the car, she waved at me as I passed. Then I realized that it must have been a wreck, and seconds later as I continued along the road, a CHP sedan passed me heading towards the wreck and put his lights on as we passed each other.

The woman standing next to that first car could easily have been the mother in the above pictures. No matter who she was, the CHP write up stating that he was the only occupant of the vehicle is wrong.

I want to clarify, the woman standing next to the car that the man was walking towards, could be the missing mother. Not the elderly lady standing next to the second car. It’s a thickly forested area, and she could’ve ducked away in a hiding spot before that CHP sedan reached them. Though I have no idea why she would hide. Strange all the way around.

Ryan, I am so sorry. I had not returned to this article/comment thread since I last posted, so I didn’t see your requests until now. I came here because of the new article, and the terrible news it contained. I’m very sorry for your loss. If you see this and still want to talk, please reply and I can call the number you listed.

This is a really weird account? I don’t understand the story? Although, it’s not on RHBB. I want to know where the woman was when CHP showed up at the accident?

I’d be willing to explain to CHP exactly what I saw, if they want the info. It was all very strange to me as well, and it’s hard to explain it clearly. Other than I was passing by it right after it happened, and I for certain saw a woman standing next to his car, who does look like the mother in the photos in this article.
im just guessing the elderly lady standing next to her own car a short distance from the man’s car (past the deep curve) was either a witness to the wreck or possibly involved in it as well? Maybe he hit her car, I have no idea because I wasn’t able to look long enough to see any damage. Sherwood is not a road drivers can take their eyes off of for any longer than a second, or you’ll smash into a big ass tree or another car. Its curves are deep and unforgiving and so many of the drivers are at least a foot or more over the center line when navigating those curves.

Publicly posting a witness account instead of just informing the police is a great way to help the suspect prepare a lie to dispute your claims during questioning. Police withhold certain info from the media to protect the investigation and prosecution.

That did not occur to me when I posted. I would not want to help the suspect. If Lisa Music or Kym Kemp sees this post, I’m totally fine with having my comments deleted. I don’t think I have that ability past the 15 minutes to edit window. I also don’t know who I should contact, Garberville CHP or Humboldt county law enforcement.

This is really huge. Maybe she hit her head in the accident. They should check close by around that accident area. I sure hope she is found ok. I wonder what the son is saying about wether his mom was with him in the accident or not? Not that we could trust him, but if he cares about her, I’d think if she was injured he would tell them. But obviously if he is responsible for her disappearance than he isn’t going to say anything to help.

If bail was 675, 000 where the Hell did his mom come up with $67,000? That or she had a large amount of property.

I doubt his mom walked into the jail with 675,000 in cash, in fact I doubt there is s bank in Mendo or Humboldt that has 675,000 in cash on hand. Even a bail bondsman at 10 or 15 precent of 675,000 is going to be a little more than pocket change or a mom on disability is going to have in her change jar. Mom may have found son’s or a son’s friend money stash and used it without permission and someone didn’t like it perhaps there was more and anyone who knew doesn’t now. How sad a parents love for their child is often not reciprocal in these situations.

At the time he was bailed out it wasn’t 675,000$. It was much lower I guess hence why he could be bailed out. The judge just upped it. Which is a little late.

You are correct. At the time, he was bailed out, the bail was $75,000. Also, I confirmed with HCSO PIO and he was released from Humboldt on October 7 at 8:30 p.m. The Mendocino booking date was after that release.

The additional bail increase in Humboldt was granted on October 11.

Lol, That describes our legal system perfectly. Up his bail after he’s been bailed out, brilliant.
Still 7,500$ though.

A very cold night, …… I sure hope she’s found soon.
Sherwood Rd isn’t a safe place to walk either, doesn’t have much of a shoulder.
I can’t imagine why they don’t lower the speed limit.

I also hope the person responsible puts up a fight and law enforcement takes them out for good. They don’t deserve to live another single day. May Clover now RIP.
