Lost Coast Fab Lab Grand Opening in Eureka July 10-11

 Lost Coast FabLab will celebrate its grand opening this week with two public community events at its new 1,000-square-foot fabrication and learning facility located at 627 Summer Street, Eureka, CA 95501.

 

The FabLab will host two grand opening events: Friday, July 10 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 11 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Each event is free and open to the public and will include facility tours, live equipment demonstrations, hands-on activities for kids and adults, food, music, games, and prizes.

 

Lost Coast FabLab gives makers, artists, youth, families, entrepreneurs, and small businesses the tools, training, and community to turn ideas into useful things.  Community members are invited to tour the space, meet the team, see the machines in action, and discover how to get involved.

 

The facility includes a wide range of digital fabrication, creative production, and hands-on shop tools, including laser engraving, silkscreen printing, vinyl cutting, 3D printing, CNC milling, direct-to-film apparel printing, recycled plastics manufacturing and more. The FabLab will offer memberships and day passes for people who want access to tools, training, workspace, and support services, as well as a full calendar of workshops, events, demonstrations, youth activities, small business support, and other community engagement opportunities.
