Fortuna Blvd., Fortuna, California.

National Coffee with a Cop Day is an annual event that brings law enforcement officers and the community they serve together in a casual and friendly setting over a cup of coffee. It provides an excellent opportunity for residents to meet their local police officers, ask questions, discuss community concerns, and build positive relationships.

Members of the Fortuna Police Department will be on hand to chat with community members, share information about their work, and listen to any feedback or concerns the public may have. The event is open to everyone, and there is no specific agenda or formal presentation. It’s an informal and welcoming atmosphere where community members can engage with their local law enforcement officers in a relaxed and approachable manner.

Lieutenant Matt Eberhardt of the Fortuna Police Department said, “We encourage everyone to join us for a cup of coffee and a conversation.”

Head to Starbuck’s for a cup of coffee and talk with your local Fortuna Police Department folks about problems you are having, and what you would like to see the officer’s due to stop the problem(s) and so on. They lay their life on the line every single day for you. Buy them a cup or two of coffee, shake their hands, smile, and say thank you for being there when needed. You will soon realize they are just humans like us and not robocops!

Just about everyone can afford a cup of black coffee at Starbucks. You don’t have to buy the top dollar coffee to be served. I guess you can bum a cup it at Burger King or McDonalds. What does your comment have to do with meeting the Fortuna Police at Starbucks?

Good! They can explain why they cannot be bothered to POLICE Fortuna, and why things like grand theft and property crime are beneath them.

I guess they are too busy generating revenue to actually stop crime.

Fortuna police don’t bother looking at evidence literally don’t follow up on anything they can’t be bothered I turned a guy in for attempted murder and they didn’t make as much as a phone call

You turned in a person for attempted murder and they did not respond, I am sorry, but I don’t believe your story at all. You also could have called the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, and they would have sent an officer to speak with you.

Your comment is sure nasty. Do you realize there are only a handful of officers in the department? They generally take the worst or most dangerous calls first. Theft and property crime happen every single day and it is just too much to keep up with. They are doing the very best they can. CR is just a short drive away, so why don’t you take the full police course and become an officer?

My comments where badly timed and harsher then intended it a attempt to say a oversight was made and I don’t think fortuna police are as bad as my comments reflect I think you point that they are to busy is dead on I really think it was the case
