The following scheduled roadwork has been verified at the time of release. Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day. However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans crews to respond to emergency situations.
Del Norte County
- U.S. 101 (2/3.8) – Utility work is scheduled between near Klamath Beach Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Lane and shoulder closures will be in effect. Travelers should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101XC
- U.S. 101 (3/12.2) – Grinding work is scheduled between the northbound turnout at postmile 3 and Wilson Creek Bluff from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Lane closures and one-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C101CA
- U.S. 101 (3.8) – Utility work is scheduled at the northbound off-ramp to Klamath Beach Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 13 to 15. A full northbound off-ramp closure will be in effect. Use an alternate route. LC#C101XC
- U.S. 101 (13.4/13.8) – Concrete pour work is scheduled between Southbound Overlook and Rudisill Road on Friday, July 10 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C101CA
- U.S. 101 (15.5/16.1) – Highway construction is scheduled between Ocean Bluffs and Damnation Creek Trailhead through Friday, July 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 15-minute delays. LC#C101UE
- U.S. 101 (21/22.7) – Grinding and paving work is scheduled between Cushing Creek Sidehill Viaduct and Hamilton Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 15-minute delays. LC#C101CA
- U.S. 101 (22.7/23.8) – Shoulder work is scheduled between Hamilton Road and Enderts Beach Road on Friday, July 10 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C101CA
- U.S. 101 (35.8/36.5) – The Dr. Fine Bridge Replacement Project is scheduled in the Smith River area weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C101WA
- Route 197 (3.2/3.7) – Drainage work is scheduled near Ginny Lane from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C197AA
- U.S. 199 (0.5/1) – Drainage work is scheduled between the 199/101 junction and Kings Valley Road. Lane closures will be in effect with traffic diverted to shoulders. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C199IA
- U.S. 199 (20.1/20.7) – Highway construction and drainage work is scheduled near Middle Fork Smith River Bridge 1-19. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C199FA

- Route 36 (4.1/4.6) – Construction upgrades near Carlotta are scheduled to continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 15-minute delays weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. LC#C36IA
- Route 36 (15.7/16.3) – Slide response west of Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 60-minute delays. Check Caltrans District 1 on social media for updates. LC#T36HA
- Route 36 (19.6) – Emergency work west of Maple Grove will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C36JA
- Route 36 (25.3/25.4) – Bridge work is scheduled between Little Larabee Creek Bridge 4-102 and the Caltrans Bridgeville Maintenance Station from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA

- U.S. 101 (5.9/7.8) – Drainage work is scheduled between South Fork Eel River Bridge 4-241 and Old U.S. 101 Undercrossing 4-216 weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lane and shoulder closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101DE
- U.S. 101 (11/11.8) – Utility work is scheduled in the northbound direction between Redwood Drive in south Garberville and Alderpoint Road Overcrossing 4-197 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. A northbound lane closure will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101RE
- U.S. 101 (14.3) – Bridge work is scheduled in the northbound direction at Dean Creek Bridge 4-6 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. A northbound lane closure will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101NE
- U.S. 101 (19.4/22.4) – Utility work is scheduled in the northbound direction between the northbound truck scales and French Road Undercrossing 4-174 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. A moving northbound lane closure will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101VE
- U.S. 101 (53.4/54.6) – Bridge work is scheduled near the Eel River Bridge. The northbound bridge is closed and traffic is diverted to the southbound bridge. Lane closures will be in effect. Travelers should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101YC
- U.S. 101 (53.9/59.5) – Electrical work is scheduled between Eel River Bridge 4-16R and Kenmar Road Undercrossing 4-128 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shoulder closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101IB
- U.S. 101 (68.2/73.7) – Nighttime culvert work is scheduled between Hookton Road Overcrossing 4-166 and Spruce Point Overcrossing 4-71 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday nights. Lane closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101IB
- U.S. 101 (76.1/78) – Nighttime electrical work is scheduled between South Bayshore Mall Entrance and Broadway/5th Street Sunday night through Wednesday night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Lane closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101IB
- U.S. 101 (79.8/80) – Bridge work is scheduled in the southbound direction at Eureka Slough Bridge 4-22 from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. weekdays. A southbound lane closure will be in effect. Travelers should expect traffic slowdowns. LC#C101PE
- U.S. 101 (84.7/85) – Nighttime bridge work is scheduled in the southbound direction between South G Street and Gannon Slough Bridge 4-24 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. A southbound lane closure will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101WE
- U.S. 101 (89.2/89.8) – Nighttime bridge work is scheduled between Turner Draw Bridge 4-84 and Mad River Bridge 4-31 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Lane closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101WE
- U.S. 101 (103.4) – Utility work is scheduled at the northbound and southbound off-ramps to Seawood Drive weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Full ramp closures will be in effect. Use an alternate route. LC#C101PB
- U.S. 101 (124.8/125.8) – Highway construction is scheduled near Prairie Creek Fish Hatchery. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C101TD

- Route 254 (18.8) – Slide removal work is ongoing just north of Weott. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C254AA
- Route 254 (41.5/41.8) – Tree work is scheduled between Immortal Tree and Helen High Daniels Grove from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 5-minute delays. LC#P254CA
- Route 255 (8.4/8.5) – Utility work is scheduled in the northbound direction between J Street and I Street on Tuesday night, July 7 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Travelers should follow signage and use a detour if necessary. LC#P255CA
- Route 299 (5.3/6.3) – Nighttime bridge work is scheduled between Blue Lake Overhead 4-189 and Elgar Road/Davis Street from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. most nights. Lane closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C299BA
- Route 299 (8.2/9.7) – Highway construction is scheduled between 0.8 mile east of the Blue Lake Weigh Station and 1.3 miles west of North Fork Mad River Bridge 4-194 weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C299IA
Lake County
- Route 20 (2.4) – Utility work west of Upper Lake near Irvine Avenue will begin on Monday, July 13. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#P20AA
- Route 29 (15.6) – Tree work will occur west of Agua Dulce Drive on Monday, July 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P29BA

- U.S. 101 (20.9/28.5) – Road work in Ukiah from the Robinson Creek Bridge 10-5 to the Pomo Lane Undercrossing 10-105 continues with lane closures and minor slowdowns. Weeknight ramp closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Route 253, Route 222 at Talmage Road, East Perkins Street, Gobbi Street, North State Street, and Lake Mendocino Drive. - U.S. 101 (28.5/29.8) – Sign work will occur north of Ukiah from the Pomo Lane Undercrossing 10-105 to the Central Avenue Overcrossing 10-207 on Wednesday July 15. Lane closures will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#X101CA
- U.S. 101 (30.4/61.9) – Utility work at various locations from Moore Street in Calpella to Big Trails Drive continues with lane closures and minor slowdowns. Weeknight northbound ramp closures will occur in Calpella at Moore Street and Route 20 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should use an alternate route. LC#C101KE
- U.S. 101 (59.2/67.9) – Utility work at various locations from south of the Long Valley Creek Bridge 10-97 to south of Harwood Road in Laytonville will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101QE
- U.S. 101 (80.6/93.1) – Utility work at various locations from north of Laytonville at Twin Rocks Creek to north of the Jitney Gulch Bridge 10-53 continues. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101TE
- Route 128 (20.1/21) – Utility work at Philo Greenwood Road will begin on Monday, July 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C128AA
