The multiple explosions are most likely from multiple vehicle tires exploding as they burn up.
I’d wager 4 or 5 explosions, including the spares, per burning vehicle…
Multiple vehicles burning equals lots of tires exploding…
It’s terrible if people are losing their homes and working vehicles. But it’s disgusting if this is one of the many de facto junk yards so prized by some rural residents.

If we are not in a red flag warning area, we are pretty close…
Haven’t heard or seen any other red flag warnings being reported, except actually seeing the lightning to the East…⚡ ?️?♂️
Just a heads up…
This is what your seeing.
It’s moving North.
Thanks for the screen shot, it definitely adds context to what I am seeing…
Sounds like the NWS in Eureka did issue a red flag warning after all, I just didn’t see it.
I did have a, live, front row seat, though…
Does Hayfork have a volunteer fire department?
Duh
Does your comment “Duh” mean hayfork has a volunteer fire department? Or are you just being a little smarty?
With the multiple explosions, I am guessing it is from propane tanks, gas cans, gas tanks, car tires, etc. I do hope that there are no folks and/or pets involved, and if there are, I sure pray they all got out safely. Thank you to all the first responders!
Car tires exploding are definitely loud, and can be heard clearly from a mile away.
1/2 acre of burning vehicles is alot of toxic smoke.
