[Update: Mop Up] Fire Crews on the Ground and in the Sky, Battling Fire Near Redwood Valley
Around 1:30 p.m. a Nixle alert was issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office for a wildfire near the 11200 block of West Road northwest of Redwood Valley.

The flight radar shows Cal Fire air support is providing aid above what has been dubbed the West Fire, with Tanker 91, a spotter plane, and a helicopter.
According to scanner traffic, powerlines run through the middle of the fire. Tanker 91 was asked to continue circling while the incident commander decided the best approach.
It was reported that ground crews would have a hose lay around the fire “soon”.

Update 2 p.m.: The incident commander has stated the West Fire is approximately 1 acre in size and holding within the hose lay lines. There is one hazardous tree near power lines that crews are set to fall. The IC stated that once that tree is fallen, they will be able to state, “forward progress is stopped”.
Update 2:34 p.m.: All fire support has been released from the West Fire. Crews are expected to be working on mop up for the next hour.

Does PG&E always provide possible self incriminating photos?
The article did not say PG&E started the fire.
No it didn’t, that’s why I said possible. Do you have a hard time comprehending my posts?
Thank you, firefighters, for jumping on that burn and will have it stopped shortly. Fast action and expert command is a hard combination to beat.
