City of Arcata in Planning Phase for 2022 Annual Paving Project

The City of Arcata is reaching out to the community for comments regarding the upcoming annual paving project. 

The City of Arcata is currently working on the planning and design phase of the 2022-2023 annual paving project. Proposed improvements are related to sidewalk ADA access, restriping of bicycle facilities and other aesthetic improvements. The extents of the project area currently include the following streets: 

• • H St. – from Sunset Ave. to 11th St. 
• • G St. – from 5th St. to 7th St. 

As part of the planning and design phase of the project, the Engineering department will be holding a public meeting to present the current plans for the aforementioned project areas. The City of Arcata would like to encourage as many residents, those that own or manage businesses and even those that frequently travel along these streets in particular, to try to attend this meeting and contribute valuable feedback. 

The public meeting is scheduled for Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m. The public meeting will take place at 1301 D St., also known as the D Street Neighborhood Center.
