[UPDATE 8:02 p.m.] Law Enforcement Searching for Suspects in Willow Creek

Foot PursuitSince before 7 p.m., law enforcement (this includes the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department) are searching for at least two suspects in an unknown criminal event in Willow Creek between the evacuated Bigfoot Subdivision and downtown by the Chevron. One suspect was reportedly spotted by a member of the public in the 100 block of The Terrace Lane.

One suspect reportedly is wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and has a bandana around his neck.

We have one report that shots were fired, but this is not an official report.

A perimeter has been set up

At 7:42 p.m., officers announced that a K-9 would be deployed at an address on Walnut and gave a suspect a chance to surrender. With no response, they let the K-9 go after the suspect.

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

Well, when people are asked to leave their houses unlocked and evacuate, that’s tempting to the low lives, who we have no shortage of.
Glad they were seen on camera and I’m sure they will be dealt with, one way or another.
Security cams are the best investment for any rural landowner. The ones that alert you in real time. Pictures don’t lie.

Bust them hard, and harshly. Work camps and a good beat down. Just let the home owners form malitias, and yes, be armed. The Nazis IRS are now armed, and coming after everyone.

Oh you are incorrect. They will not be coming after everyone, just the people the Regime does not agree with. If you declare yourself a branch of the Ukrainian Militia, maybe you can get an airdrop of some much needed ordnance from creeper uncle Joe. Salutations!

They told them to leave their homes unlocked? That seems pretty crazy to me. I would not personally follow that instruction.

It’s one of the more moronic instructions on the state’s evacuation check list. leaving lights on in every room is a waste as well.
Lock your doors, leave on exterior lights so the firefighters can identify your home in the dark and smoke, be sure to remove flammable items from decks etc. This should be common sense, but sense seems to be lacking in many quarters these days.
