EVACUATION ORDER: The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is issuing an IMMEDIATE EVACUATION ORDER for residents West of the Trinity River in the area of Butterfly Creek Lane south to Gypo Lane in Willow Creek due to the Knob Fire.
EVACUATION WARNING: An EVACUATION WARNING has been issued for residents West of the Trinity River in the areas of:
– Panther Road south to Butterfly Creek Road
– Gypo Road south to Friday Ridge Road
Prepare for potential evacuations, including personal supplies and overnight accommodations. Be ready to go at a moment’s notice.
An Evacuation Center is established for residents at the Willow Creek Bible Church at 39 Brannan Mountain Road.

  • An Evacuation Order means you should leave now and the area is closed to the public.
  • An Evacuation Warning means the residents of the area should prepare to leave if ordered to do so.

I pray they firefighters will be able to stop the fire before it gets much bigger. Folks if you were asked to leave please do so. Be safe everyone.

I just spoke with Red Cross personnel in Willow Creek. They are moving the shelter location to 1200 Central Avenue, Mckinleyville within the next hour or so.
