“Teaching all of you how to comply”
Thank you master.
Legal growing is a privaledge not a right. Illegal growing is a right not a privaledge.
According to Humboldt county code,
“55.2.4 Compliance with Other Laws. No provision of this Section shall be constructed to authorize, legalize, allow, approve, or condone any activity that violates any provision of State or federal law or this Code. Nothing in this Section shall be construed to allow the use of marijuana for non-medical purposes, or allow any activity relating to the cultivation, distribution, or consumption of marijuana that is otherwise illegal under State or federal law. No provision of this Section may be deemed a defense or immunity to any action brought against any person by the Humboldt County District Attorney, the attorney General of the State of California, or the Attorney General of the United States of America.”
So cannabis cultivation is federally illegal. Therefore According to code, no cultivation can take place in humboldt.
THEY HAVE COVERED THEIR bASES
No body in humboldt is legal, or compliant, it’s all a big scam to get your money!!!
You can’t even grow your 215 medical crop in humboldt, according to code, because it’s FEDERALLY ILLEGAL!!!!!
Have another beer, you’ll be alright!
If the Federal Government wants to continue to maintain that cannabis farming is illegal , then they need to return the huge amount of taxes legal farmers are paying them . I’m quite sure the $$$ is not unspent due to the illegality of the business. If you take our $$$ you are now complicit with the business!
State politicians, and heads of bureaucracies should have to run a sample permit app. Just to check how the system works. DMV too.
Remember the “Reduction of Paperwork Act”? Every form was not to take more than 20 min to complete? How’s that apply to our modern internet, set-it-and-forget-it systems? I’m in a loop re-newing my Motor Carrier of Property Permit w DMV. You have to get a special code in you email that allows you to get a special code in you email, that allows you to get a special code in your email, that allows you to get a special code in your email,….
Oh, god, I’m sorry.
“Normalize the industry”?! Not one of those three pictured looks like they can move soil or dig holes or put up fence. I don’t think these are growers. More like managers who convert other peoples’ manual labor into dollars for the company. And work the public relations angles to work the media into manipulating peoples’ perceptions of what’s really happening in this corporate takeover….the rich get richer and the poor can get a slave job helping them out.
I think you are judging the books by their covers a bit much.
If i were to judge Andelaine by appearances– aside from the fact that she’s part of a family of local Honeydewers– i’d say she could sling a bag of amendments over each shoulder and beat you to the field before the sun gets hot, and then all day long.
You’d have to know what farce looks like , but uh , nice fantasy there ….
You got me! I do not know her. Or any of these people. Maybe they just clean up nice! I am obviously frustrated by the ongoing invasion of parasites representing themselves as local growers…I may have overstepped my criticism here. (Of course I am biased against government collaborators in general. But I respect a few permit people and their reasons)
Thanks, Farce. I’d say “Yes” to your “they clean up nice!”
I too am dismayed by the invasion, and in fact i often think the next generation of locals is different enough in their approach to weed and scale and the law that they may as well be outsiders… but recently was reminded of how it wasn’t virtue alone that allowed many of us to support a family on a dozen plants grown out in the hills, back around 1990; the weed was worth many times more, the cost of our housing was much less, and the expense of doing business itself was non-existent (as far as permits went, at least).
Andelaine has just stepped up to an officer position in our local Grange. That’s invaluable service, a true labor of love– unlike the monster growers who send their money to, for instance, eastern Europe via Chicago.
Lmfao, yeah, these people aren’t doing their own grunt work. Maybe once upon a time, but these are the people doing corporate style. The jackass on the left is being used for whatever he can, pictures on CDFA bulletin boards, videos on how to comply…… we don’t need “local” industry puppets! They can take their commercialized bammer somewhere else!

History: when the gov’t needed hemp for the war effort, they pushed Hemp for Victory. After that, ppl wanted to keep growing, so the Feds created the Tax Stamp Act, & everyone who wanted to grow went to Washington to get their federal permit. BUT! The Feds used their info to bust every one of them…
Now, they will probably repeat history, & add the Safe Homes Act into the mix to finish off the OGs permanently , just as they did to the Native Americans. It’s a seven year siege to shut down everything that’s not corporate . The exact same thing happened with the cheese industry- Ferndale was the hub! All the locals were shut down
The tax stamp preceded WW2. 1937.

The Safe Homes Act is a Humboldt County program. It doesn’t exist in Mendocino …yet. People should chew on that and really think about pushing back. It’s real and it’s real ugly
It’s a state program, not county.

Take a look at the facts my friends… But the “Safe Home Program” is a HumCo program which has the potential to ruin alot of our lives, and the way the Planning Dept is currently being run will turn us all Homeless. I guess it is more safe to live out of our cars, under bridges or on the beach…at least their spy satellites can’t see us as easily then.
Perspective- So why is it not referenced or even mentioned in Mendo County Building Dept. website while it s prominent in Humboldt’s? “Safe Homes Act” -Google it and only Humboldt shows up. Please enlighten me…
Great video and well represented. Thank you Andelian for putting yourself out there to take a stand for what you feel is right and building the face of Humboldt Cannabis as something our community can be proud of. I do hope RIchard Parrot cares enough in his actions with CDFA to take a stand for the small farmer and not just give us lip service and gentle music!
Comply = please don’t hurt me.
You know what a compliance position is right? And a compliance hold? It’s on intimidation of violence. Thanks guys
The effort was there to send a good message but the execution was not. The two growers were legit but reading from script or being over rehearsed came across as not genuine. A little tweak for future videos will make these seem less propagandaish.
They need to get closer to the truth. In the beginning dealing with Humboldt county planning division was more like going to war, no help at all to process a permit, plenty of road blocks and silly rules. It’s getting better but only by the HCGA and those willing to push back. CDFA is much easier to deal with.
Pounds from last year are selling for $250 right now. That doesn’t even cover cultivation tax and trimming. There are 10s of 1000s of them if not 100s. Fresh frozen is $50 @lb. You can’t even give trim away.
More sq footage is being cultivated this year then ever before even though literally millions of dollars of cannabis will be destroyed due to overproduction.
Good job cal cannabis you really knocked it out the park on this one. In the next 2 years other states black markets will be closed down and production like Oklahoma will be all over the country. Once Texas starts cultivation a humboldt county outdoor pound will $400 pre tax if your lucky as farmer. Strap your big boy pants on people!
Hey- at least we are almost completely “safe” and “free”!! LOL- Thanks everybody for choosing this corporate form of “legalization”! And yeah- that is sarcasm fer sure dude. Please feel free to counter w/ claims of “terroir” or “branding” or “high-end markets” etc etc… You permit pansies and government collaborators have destroyed an independent way of life…but keep collecting your dues and fees and taxes while you can! (Until the suckers figure it out)
