And who wouldn’t want some to help in a crisis? If making a declaration of emergency greased the government wheels it’s good thing.

Obliviously, be careful what you say, your house may be sitting on Tribal land. Now the College of The Redwoods has to pay a tax for using the so called Tribal land the school is sitting on. Where were these [edit] when the school was first built? Frankly, I am sick and tired of them claiming land all over the place!!!!!

Wow. Wow wow, at the risk of sounding like a complainer I distinctly remember you defending The Real Brian use of the N word, saying something along the lines of we need to act like adults and words shouldn’t have that kinda power. Sorry but I’ve had that one in my back pocket for months. And I could be wrong but Brian defiantly didn’t play the “I can say it because”

I can type the word “nigger” because I know how to use it.

Like a historical references to our language against black people.

Or in answering to you thinking I call black people “niggers”.

I don’t call black people “niggers”.

It looks like Martin was calling a group of people “firewaters” in his statement, which I’m not familiar with.

But if I said ‘where is that “nigger” that just took over the CHP’, you better believe that would be deleted in a heartbeat.

Rightfully.

I didnt say you call people the n word I’m saying that 99 percent of the fucking African American community says you don’t have the right, not my rule. I disagree with any censorship but your logic as usual [*stupefies me.] I wish to god I could drive you to Compton right now do we could have this debate in a public place. I’ll drive if you want to go.

You think black people anywhere would be upset that a white guy hasn’t forgotten their brutal history in America and the language used against them?

I didn’t know you were so PC Mike.

I was born in Chile, so if you are so adherent to your policy you can refer to me as “Chileno-American”.

But I call me a “white” guy, or in other references to another trait -“American”.

Most black people in America were born here, so I refer to them as “Americans”, or if for some weird reason I need to reference their skin color, I say “black”.

The first time I wrote “nigger” on RHBB was in a discussion with Ullr, who claimed “square-head” was just as offensive to his germanic ancestry as “nigger” was to blacks.

For him, “squarehead” isn’t offensive, and that equates to him that black people shouldn’t be offended by “nigger”.

The paradox is that you guys cant even spell “nigger” in a correct usage format as if the “n word” means anything else less offensive.

Your even afraid to say “black” people it seems.

The thing is, I wouldn’t go to Compton, Chinatown, Pennsylvania or India and call people by their color.

I just need their name.

tax payer, thank you for agreeing with me about the term firewater. I have used the term since I was a young man, and not a single person was upset. Kim said unless I am a native I should step back from using it. I am a native, a native “American” and damn proud of it.

Mike, I did not say the “N” word. It was The Real Brian above.

Kym, not much of anything is acceptable on your sight. I did not use the “N” word, it was The Real Brian above. The term “firewater” has been used for more years than I can remember. Stop being so touchy please. I see the use of four letter words all the time, and they don’t get the edit axe.

They were interned in boarding schools and reservatuons during the 60’s, when CR was built. The last native Wiyot speaker died in 1960. Irony seems to have died rather more recently.

For those who haven’t noticed, State of Emergency was declared for the State by the Governor yesterday. It is in the best interest of more communities to have the same urgency as Hoopa. We can’t be too prepared, but we can be unprepared. It’s a choice for each of us at the moment.

There was a huge allotment meant to be divvied out to federal, state and tribal agencies all throughout the United States. What are you angry for? You people will receive the same funding too. Haters!

If you care to educate yourself on the education, background, and work history of Nelson Byron Jr., please go to:
https://docs.house.gov/meetings/AP/AP06/20130425/100736/HHRG-113-AP06-Bio-NelsonB-20130425.pdf
He certainly has the best interest of his people in mind. His accomplishments are too long for me to list.
More power to him.
