[UPDATE 12:39 p.m.] Motorcyclist Trapped Under Bike in Remote Crash Near Trinity-Humboldt County Line
A motorcyclist was reported trapped beneath a motorcycle shortly after 11 a.m. today following a crash in the 600 block of Chemise Loop Road near the Trinity-Humboldt county line. Initial dispatches indicated the rider had gone over the side of the roadway and was pinned beneath the motorcycle.
Emergency responders from multiple agencies were dispatched, including CAL FIRE Copter 604, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office personnel, technical rescue resources, and Alderpoint and Palo Verde fire departments. Scanner traffic indicated REACH Air Medical Transport was responding with an estimated arrival time of about 18 minutes.
The extent of the rider’s injuries was not immediately available.

UPDATE 12:13 p.m.: According to the scanner, Copter 604 hoisted the patient and is enroute to meetup with REACH at Heartwood.
UPDATE 12:39 p.m.: The patient has been loaded onto the REACH helicopter and is being transported to an out of the area hospital.

Sounds like the rider had a nasty crash. Thanks to the two choppers involved, 604 for lifting the patient and transporting him to a REACH chopper which flew him to a hospital out of the area. I hope he will make a complete recovery from his injuries.
