Humboldt County Road Construction Notice: Myrtle Avenue between Hall Avenue and Freshwater Road

This is a press release from the County of Humboldt:

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works is preparing for construction work on Myrtle Avenue beginning on Monday, June 15, through mid-August.

The portion of Myrtle Avenue between Hall Avenue and Freshwater Road will be under one-way traffic control on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays of more than 15 minutes.

Construction will involve removing and replacing asphalt surfacing, as well as completing drainage improvements.

Commuters are asked to follow all traffic control devices and signs within the construction area and allow for extra travel time when possible. Thank you for your patience while repair work is in progress.

Humboldt County roads need a lot of work, and Humboldt County Public Works acknowledges residents may encounter a maintenance issue on a county-maintained road. Community members are encouraged to submit a service request if they experience a maintenance issue. A request for service on a county road may be submitted to the Public Works Department’s Roads Division by calling 707-445-7421 or placing a request for service online.
