Free Adoptions Saturday at Humboldt County Animal Shelter
All adoption fees will be waived Saturday at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter in McKinleyville as part of the third annual California Adopt-A-Pet Day, a statewide event sponsored by the ASPCA in partnership with CalAnimals.
The shelter at 980 Lycoming Ave. will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dogs available for adoption include Scooby, Sandstorm, Dean, and Dozer, among others. A full list of available animals is at 24petconnect.com/hmco.
Anyone looking to adopt a dog should bring all dogs currently living in their household to meet the potential new addition. Staff recommend submitting an adoption application before arriving, particularly for renters, so shelter staff can contact landlords in advance. An approved application is required before meeting any animals.

Actually, I see on 24Petconnect that Dean’s Brought to the shelter date is 2024.06.11.
So next Thursday will be 2 years for this guy. Perhaps someone will adopt him before then. 🙂
