If it were so easy to convict your political enemies in the courts, don’t you think Obama would have gotten at least a few convictions?

No because politics was more discrete at the time. Like in Bill Clinton’s case, mostly Congress tried not to use government institutions to score political points, knowing that it could easily be themselves would be up next. They preferred to work behind the scenes to achieve their ends to preserve at least the appearance of statemanship. Even if it was not real.

Now pettiness and vindictivemness are badges so many politicians proudly wear. Politicians have forgotten that, whatever their current difference, they need to be careful about going too far because they know they will have to work with each other in the future. But the idea of true compromise to achieve public good has lost its place in the country..

I don’t think so. Politics has always been nasty since the beginning. You mentioned Bill Clinton, so I think you are proving my point. I’m absolutely sure Obama or Biden would have had the book thrown at them if at all possible. Trump even went after his birth certificate. The fact is he was not a crook. Trump definitely is a crook by any definition.

And WHO should feel silly??? lol!!! Thinking that a NY jury of regular people found that on THIRTY FOUR counts he is GUILTY? Like ‘a conspiracy man!’ And yeah. The 2020 election was stolen! Hahaha!

I think you should think twice before you criticize others. 😉

Yes, Donald Trump was convicted on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York. Those charges have not been dismissed. While he received an unconditional discharge and no prison time or fines were imposed, the conviction remains on his record and his legal team is actively appealing the verdict. https://www.nycourts.gov/public-information/people-v-donald-j-trump-criminal
