Feather Alert Issued for Missing 23-Year-Old Man Last Seen in Klamath

A Feather Alert has been issued for Brandyone “Brandon” Salazar, a 23-year-old man reported missing out of Del Norte County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Salazar was last seen around 2 a.m. on March 22, 2026, near the intersection of Klamath Boulevard and Ehlers Avenue in Klamath. Authorities believe he may be on foot.
According to information released by CHP on behalf of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, Salazar is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt, and black jeans.
Salazar’s tribal affiliation is with the Yurok Tribe.
A Feather Alert is activated when Indigenous persons go missing under concerning or unexplained circumstances, helping to quickly notify the public and aid in locating them.
Anyone who sees Salazar or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
