Press release from the Fiona Ma for Lieutenant Governor 2026 Campaign:

fiona ma for lieutenant governor bannerThe California Federation of Labor Unions, AFL-CIO, has endorsed Fiona Ma for Lieutenant Governor.

“In the race for Lieutenant Governor, the choice was clear,” said Lorena Gonzalez, President of the Labor Federation. “Fiona Ma has always been on the side of working families. She is a true champion for California’s workers, and the only candidate in the race that has demonstrated she always has our back.”

Ma was the sole candidate in the California Lieutenant Governor race to win the endorsement of the Labor Federation, which represents over 1,300 affiliated unions in California with over 2.3 million union members in trucking, retail, hospitality, janitorial, construction, health care, local and state government, education, arts and entertainment, warehousing and logistics, manufacturing, and every other sector of the economy.

“I am honored and grateful for the California Federation of Labor Unions’ endorsement,” said Ma. “The working members of the Labor Federation are the backbone of California’s economy, the fourth largest in the world.”

The backing of the state’s most powerful labor organization is the latest showing of union support for Fiona Ma. She has more than 50 other endorsements from organized labor – far outpacing her competitors.

A blast from the (recent) past…

— From Wickipedia

In 2021, Ma was accused of sexual harassment and racial discrimination in a lawsuit filed by a former employee. The suit was settled in 2024 by the state of California for $350,000.

Accusations of impropriety and sexual harassment lawsuitIn summer of 2021, a former staffer filed a civil rights complaint against Ma, alleging sexual harassment and wrongful termination for declining the harassing behavior.

In court filings, Judith Blackwell complained that Ma created a hostile work environment by making overt and unwanted advances while the two shared a hotel room on work trips. Such behavior included exposing her bare rear end to Blackwell on multiple occasions.

Ma also gave Blackwell many gifts, such as jewelry, a prime parking spot and marijuana edibles, up until the time she was fired according to Politico Ma was also accused of accepting inappropriate gifts.

Ma had also shared hotel rooms 13 times with her chief of staff over a two-year period. Ma has denied any wrongdoing in her defense against Blackwell and said the sharing of hotel rooms was a cost-saving measure.[46]

The suit was settled in 2024 by the state of California for $350,000.

Labor Unions represent creeping crime and racketeering…

If there’s a Union, it means that the employees are incapable of negotiating…

I’m glad to see that there is an example like Ma…

I never accept employment if there is a stupid Union involved…

I took a union job back in the early 70s. After I was there about two months, we went out on strike. After two months with no work, we settled. It was going to take six years to make up for the salary the strikers lost in those two months. The new contract was only two years long…

Again, no credible choice for governor. It’s a CRAP shoot. I’ll be voting for Ai. No candidate running will give a damn about north coastal califuckyou. Just like having a Congress rep from the bay area.
