[UPDATE 7:34 p.m.] Solo Vehicle Crash Overturns Subaru on Highway 101 Near Miranda
A single-vehicle traffic collision was reported late Tuesday afternoon on Highway 101 in southern Humboldt County, just north of the scales and south of Miranda, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP dispatch logs indicate a Subaru Crosstrek went off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the no. 1 lane near mile marker 20. Debris and the overturned vehicle were reported blocking the lane, affecting traffic through the area.
Scanner and CAD information indicated one occupant was still inside the vehicle when the collision was first reported, though later was reported to be outside the vehicle. No immediate details were available regarding the extent of injuries.
A tow truck from Redwood Towing was requested to the scene, with an estimated arrival time of 20 to 30 minutes. CHP units remained on scene while recovery operations were underway.
Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

Seems to be the sleepy or day dream zone on that section of freeway, lots of long straight aways and accidents are frequent there. They are often not involving other vehicles. With all the winding roads here it’s surprising how often the accidents are on the 4 lane straight aways
It’s where you get a spot of cell service
Glad the woman just got a small cut on her hand; it could have been much worse.
